Very disappointing experience on this visit. I’ve been to this location a few times now, and generally the service is at least decent. That was not the case today. We had a party of 9 and the hostess told us it would be an hour wait before we could be seated (even though there were plenty of open tables). So we decided we would do games first and then eat. About 30 minutes later she told us they wouldn’t be able to seat us all together (again, plenty of empty tables). Finally she seated us all together about 15-20 minutes later. After being seated, 25 more minutes went by and we weren’t even greeted or acknowledged by any of the numerous servers walking around the dining room. No one asked if we wanted to order drinks or food. Not sure if they thought we were just there to sit at a table looking at the menus, or if they just didn’t feel like making money (their loss, as several of us have worked in the food service industry and tip well even for mediocre service). We finally managed to flag down a server, and she told us someone would be right with us. By that point we didn’t really feel like spending any more money or time there. So we let the kids use the rest of the $200 or so I spent on game cards and left. Given the service we received today, I highly doubt they’ll even care about this review (they certainly don’t seem to have a shortage of other customers who apparently were treated differently than we were). If I had known going in that this was how we’d be treated, I wouldn’t have spent money on the games either. A few members of our party drove over 45 minutes to meet us there as well. I really doubt we’ll ever go back here.
Update: I submitted the form on the link they provided and haven’t heard anything from them. Wish I could say that was surprising. So if you’re reading reviews, just be aware that they aren’t actually trying to resolve their awful service, just trying to make it appear that they are in...
Read moreNo one in my group had ever been to Dave and Busters before, so when we walked in and there was no one at the desk and no signs indicating what our first steps should be, we were a little confused. We figured it out, though, and we each ordered an eat and play combo. We got our cards and went to play. The first game we tried (Hungry Hungry Hippos) took our "chips" but did not work. Next we tried the giant claw machine, and the claw did not close. We tried a basketball game, and only one ball came out. We tried a smaller claw machine, and the claw didn't close on that one either. On one of the coin pusher machines, the coins went under the tray. There wasn't an employee to be found to report any of the issues, so we might as well have flushed our money down the toilet. Finally we went to eat. There was one server for the entire restaurant. Our food came out quickly and was good, but that was the only positive of this experience. At one point, our server brought us two game cards, even though we had already gotten our cards when we purchased the combos. Then the manager came out and took them away with no explanation. We had assumed that the server gave them to us by mistake, so we weren't upset to lose them, but it's still bad customer service. I worked in a restaurant for many years, and we never would have taken something back that we gave someone by mistake because it was our mistake, not theirs. Because there was only one server, our drinks never got refilled and it took a very long time to get the check. When she finally did get back to us, she tried to make us pay for all of our meals, which we had already paid for with the combo. This combo is advertised all over the place, so I assume it's something she would see all the time, but I don't work there so I don't know. To be clear, NONE of these issues were the server's fault. The restaurant was not properly staffed and she clearly was not properly trained. Tl;dr - don't...
Read moreI've been to a few different D&B locations and this one was the bigger let down of them all. This location is extremely small, and they try to trick you into thinking its bigger with a mirrored wall. The games are pretty limited and many of them are rigged. We noticed several times that mechanisms within the games to dispense coins or hit a ball didn't actually function correctly so you just waste an attempt at playing. We had great luck winning on the giant claw machine that has ticket rolls inside, then as soon as we walked away they rushed over and we watched them loosen the claw. Everyone we saw play after that lost when we had won 8 straight times with no technique. I thought that was really crappy of them. We were sold an unlimited play card and a coin card with our dinners. Unlimited play doesn't work on claw machines or coin machines. This seemed to be the best of both worlds, however we couldn't both play games together with the unlimited card as there is a several second delay on when you can swipe it again so we ended up having to take turns which was kind of a crappy way to have a date at an arcade. Then there is a limit to how many tickets you earn on the unlimited play so it cuts you off at 1500 which is ridiculous as the card is $70! In all had dinner, a few drinks, 1 app, and the two play cards we added on and spent just under $300. We then had about 4400 tickets which there was nothing to buy with them because anything an adult would want was way too expensive 10k tickets or more, and anything under that amount was candy or small toys for little kids. Pretty expensive for a 90 minute date! Won't go back to this location, will try a different arcade in town next time we want to do...
