New Ownership - Larry’s Steakhouse truly exceeded my expectations from start to finish. The steak was, without a doubt, the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked to medium rare, tender, and seasoned just right. It had that melt-in-your-mouth quality that makes you pause mid-bite, savor it, then wanting more once the steak was finished. What impressed me most is that it didn’t need a single drop of sauce. The flavor stood on its own, which is how you know a steak is truly exceptional.
The dessert didn’t disappoint either. The Tuxedo cake was rich, flavorful, and beautifully balanced, sweet but without being over the top. Then there was the cheesecake, which honestly looked like it belonged on display in a bakery window. It was tall, fluffy, and definitely picture-perfect, with a texture that practically begged for a forkful.
Even the appetizers deserve their own spotlight. The mozzarella sticks were golden and crispy on the outside, gooey and melty on the inside, and paired with a marinara sauce that had real flavor; not the bland, generic kind you usually find. They set the tone for the entire meal and hinted at the quality that was coming next.
On top of the food, the staff made the entire experience even better. They were attentive without being overbearing, quick to check in, and genuinely friendly, which added to the warm and definitely welcoming atmosphere. It felt like they truly cared that every guest was having a great time.
From start to finish, every bite was just as memorable as the first and the service matched the quality of the food. Larry’s Steakhouse has earned a spot at the very top of my list, and I’ll be recommending it to anyone who wants a steakhouse that knows how to deliver on every single detail.
Not to mention, I drove from Greensboro, NC because I heard it was just THAT GOOD and I had to try it. I am a sucker for a great steak. See y'all soon because I’ll definitely be coming...
Read moreWe traveled down to Greenville from Hampton Roads and found this place. We were craving steak and decided to stop. We were skeptical at first because it’s not a big name steakhouse, but a family style dining restaurant. We took a chance and boy, are we glad we did! It was the best steak we’ve had in long time, perfectly cooked with excellent flavor. We’ve been to fancier steakhouses with lesser quality steaks that cost a whole lot more. The prices here are very reasonable, but the quality is very high. We also got the salad bar, which had great ingredients to choose from, including sliced boiled eggs, real bacon bits, ham, grated cheddar, and many more things. My husband’s baked potato came with sour cream and REAL butter (not margarine!), something I always equate with a restaurant paying attention to quality in the smallest details. I got the fried okra as my side, because I haven’t had it in a very long time. It did not disappoint! The servers were also attentive and very friendly, and the owner checked on us to make sure everything was good. We love supporting local family owned restaurants, and thoroughly enjoyed dining here. We will be back next time...
Read moreI was fortunate to have dinner the first day that they opened. What stood out mostly was the excellent service from my waiter. Then I enjoyed their awesome salad bar. They ran out of baked potatoes so they gave me the choice to substitute mashed potatoes. They were so delicious and I was glad they had run out of the baked potatoes. My selection of meat was the 4 oz ribeye. It was cooked exactly like I had requested but for my personal taste buds I would have preferred more seasoning on my steak. I think I’ll try the chicken on my next visit. As far as their pricing, I thought it was very reasonable for the amount of food you were getting. In fact, they were quite generous with their portions. Upon leaving I was given a breakfast menu for Saturday morning. It looks awesome and again, excellent prices. I wish for them much success. What a welcomed addition to...
