My stay at Motel 6 with my family started out accomadting and nice. The night shift front desk attendant was amazing. My problem and the reason why the entire experience there ended up being horrible was because of the manager, Andrea. My first encounter with Andrea was when I needed to get a jump for my sister's car. There wasn't many people outside to ask and the ones that were weren't able to help. I thought maybe the front desk would be able to help, maybe they have a car and they can give a jump. We have the cables if that was going to be an issue. I walked up to the front desk after waiting for Andrea and the person in front of me to finish their conversation. When they were done Andrea pulled out her phone immediately, there wasn't anyone on the phone yet, she just pulled out to be on it maybe, I'm not sure. I simply asked, would you be able to give me a jump, the car is parked right in the front. Andrea barely looked me in the face because she was looking at her phone. She responded with, I don't have anything to be able to jump. I was trying to ask her to clarify what she meant because if having jumper cables was the issue, we have them. In the middle of me asking this question she got a phone call, answered the call while I was talking and she walked into the back office without acknowledging she heard me or even apologizing that she needed to take that phone call. I waited to ask her my question completely again because at that moment we had asked everyone else. She never came back outside of the office. Thankfully another tenant of the motel was there and helped us out. The very last encounter with Andrea was the icing on the cake. We were able to extend our stay, but it was after housekeeping had come amd we wanted clean sheets. The room is under my brother's name and we were all in the room, my sister is the one that called down to the front desk just to see if we can get housekeeping to come back up and clean the room. My sister was very polite, she gave Andrea the room number and began to ask if housekeeping could come back up to the room. Before she could get to asking about housekeeping Andrea cut her off and said that she can't be talking to my sister because the room isn't under her name. My sister began to try to tell Andrea that our brother is in the room if you need to talk to him, but Andrea interrupted her again and said thay she can hear voices in the background and none of them sound like our brother and thay she can't talk to my sister. My sister tried to explain to her again that our brother was in the room but Andrea hung the phone up in my sister's face. After that rude experience my brother and sister went down to the front desk to confront Andrea on her rude behavior, truly just looking for her to take accountability for her actions that were the opposite of hospitable. When they went down there Andrea didn't want to take accountability for anything that she had done, claiming that she didn't cut my sister off or hang up in her face. My brother informed her that he was in the room and heard everything and she was still denying it and instead of apologizing said that the only thing that she could do was to refund him the money from the room. My sister then said that she was going to contact corporate because this isn't how you treat your guests. Andrea feeling threatened said that she would just put us on the DNR list, claiming that my brother violated Motel 6's policies. My brother and sister told her that he didn't, but ended up letting the situation go. We found out the next day when we wanted to extend our stay that Andrea did put us on the DNR list. We are currently homeless and that unexpected information put us back outside to possibly have to sleep in a car with no heat if we can't find another cheap hotel to stay in. Andrea was not hospitable at all and if it wasn't for the other front desk attendants there I would think that Motel 6 had the worst employees, but it's just Andrea the manager....
Read moreAwful place to stay , first off⌠michelle is such an amazing person. Please give her a raise. Second the service from other desks ladies and the manager and treatment is so bad. Iâve been staying here for more than 2 weeks now. The manager (I want to think she is a manager) is so rude and gave me an attitude out of nowhere. On my first week staying here my brother stayed in the room with my dog while me and my family went out. Of course my brother doesnât open the door to anyone whoâs a stranger, manager gave us a warning note stating we left our dog unleashed and alone in the rooms leaving us to one strike. We spoke to the front desk that my dog was not unattended and that my brother was there. Making us false accusations. Second we asked a house keeper to please give us towels, toilet paper and trash bags , she refused to give us toilet paper and trash bags stating âif itâs not my room or floor I wonât do thatâ in a rude tone and left. Next week later the blonde, chubby manager came up to my room , again knocking on our door. I thought it was a housekeeper and I said âno thank youâ for the service.manager proceed to give me a rude attitude and yell in a bad tone at me and my brother (who has a disability⌠autism) I step out opening the door half way and again, not letting her yell at mr again . Gave a rude attitude (matching energy towards her).all that to just said â just check on youâ⌠was all that really necessary just to say that?. Third⌠parking lot is really insecure at night. At the back of the hotel youâll see gang people and smoking đ. In the day youâll see weirdos as well. Fourth. On my last day front desk came almost kicking me out of the room (this was in the morning around 11:40 ) telling me Iâm in departures and ready to leave and in late for leaving. Which does not make sense at all because I already paid and my last day was supposed to be the next day. She didnât even apologize and left. What kind of treatment is that? Not my fault their system doesnât show the proper information , and even if it was it showing it. You should never treat a person like that⌠where are the manners?, whereâs the empathy?, whereâs the respect? Fifth- please donât leave your dog here. A tiny little bark from them will leave you (according to the manager) to a strike or a warning claiming and stating your dog was unattended even if youâre in the room , if you love you dog or cat , any pet you have, do not bring them in here. Six- the WiFi never worked , I donât know why front desk even bothers to give you a little paper with the password and name if it never works. At this point just donât give it to anyone. Seven- pool is always dirty , thereâs not breakfast service and laundry room is so pricey. If yâall wanna go to the laundry room , please go somewhere else. Save your money Eight- itâs not a quiet place to sleep , youâll be hearing weirdos screaming in the hallways, even random people knocking on your door middle of the early morning. Construction literally out of your room , people chatting outside of your room provoking dogs to bark or they will even bring their own pets outside of your room to make your dogs bark not knowing they shouldnât do that cuz you never know how each pet behaves. Nine- donât bring kids. Itâs not a safety place , specifically at night . Like I just mentioned before⌠weirdos, people smoking đ, gang at the back of the hotel , letting even homeless people to go in itâŚ...
Read moreI spent a total of 8 days at this Motel 6. The star rating is truly reflective upon how one bad apple can spoil the bunch. And not reflective of the property as a whole.
For starters front desk agents Tay and Karen/Alexis were great. Tay assisted with wifi issues that I had experienced at the onset of my stay, being in room 502, the internet unfortunately was not functioning very well. After processing what was necessary she was able to get me moved to room 529 which had a much better wifi connection. Each time a request was made Tay did what she could and that was greatly appreciated.
Karen or Alexis, (I cannot remember the name tag exactly), but I am writing what I remember here. She was very kind, accomodating, and patient. There was one day where I needed a little extra time to get the funds for my stay, and she understood and offered me the time to get everything together.
The room itself was nice and what I needed for the time. Definitely great for the small nightly rate. The internet unfortunately did leave much to be desired, but when it was functioning it was functioning great. Housekeeping was prompt and did a wonderful job with their cleaning service.
My main and seemingly only concern with the entire stay was dealing with the property manager, Andrea. After extending my stay for the last time, I had a visitor come to my room. Not a guest staying, not anyone that was going to be with me for more than a few hours. I had my visitor call down to the desk to request cleaning services for the room because I thought that I would be in the room and declined them, but I was now going to leave. When my visitor called down, Andrea would not allow them to make the simple request of having housekeeping circle back to the room for service, because it was not me. The primary issue in that phone conversation was a rude tone, and the inability to even get a word in before rudely hanging up the phone on my visitor. When going down to address the rudeness that was exhibited and make the request myself, Andrea then notified that the motel's policy is that every person that enters the motel must register their ID with the front desk, or they are not allowed to be present. (This rule or policy is not written anywhere that I have been able to find). In the midst of all of this, no accountability is taken for the rudeness over the phone, and she offers to just refund me my money for the night. She notifies then that she will not be extending my stay, although nothing wrong has occured. My visitor and I went to the store, came back to the room and left as was planned only for me to go to extend my reservation the following day and she would not, also notifying me then that she placed a 60 day DNR (do not rent) on my profile so that I am not able to stay there. This was all unjustified because at the end of the day I did nothing wrong. Every employee had something nice to say about me were her words to me and yet she bans me from staying.
My 3 star rating in service is reflective upon the fact that only 1 employee was a problem or else it would have been a 5. Sadly my only issue was with the one in charge. Having to then try and find accomodation last minute was a major inconvenience, I was wronged, and treated unfairly and feel as though compensation for the these events...
