For those who read a book and put down their phone every once in awhile. Christopher (the owner) is a legend. After nearly 20 years running a spot in Lake Oswego, he’s “semi-retired” with this new venture—but it’s clear he still lives for this. Though as he mentioned several times during the rare sunny winter day the restaurant schtick might be competing with his love of fishing. He personally handed us a chicken wing to try while he finished up packing our items, and let me tell you, the banh mi here is delicious—fresh, flavorful, ridiculously affordable, and may or may not come with a tasty chicken wing. I have been fortunate enough to be introduced to the magic of bahn mi sandwiches for over a decade. The second I saw the sign for this new spot in Gresham I was ecstatic! Tonight I finally got to have one for myself at their new location. I had the bbq pork sandwich and it was absolutely incredible! Somehow had the willpower to save the other half for my daughter before I got home. The owner was the sweetest and most genuine person and the food is incredible. I’m so happy I got a chance to try this place, I don’t live near so when I was in the area I was excited to try. I got their meatball and brisket pho and it did not disappoint. Everything was very well balanced out with the meat to noodle radio. The broth was very light and clean, I enjoyed it very much. I also got their pork belly banh mi. The owner recommended that one as their most popular and I can see why. I had a good amount of pork belly, the bread was nicely toasted and filled with a lot of fresh veggies.
