Speedy's Chophouse — Restaurant in Grove

Went here for the first time. Waited over an hour for our food which would normally be expected but the restaurant was 70% empty. Wife got the ribeye special for $27. Her ribeye was very good. Baked potato was not fully cooked and partially hard. The candied Brussels sprouts were not candied. Just had a not very sweet sauce on them and not fully cooked.

I ordered the prime rib special for $35. When it came out it was gray and tough. I told the waitress and she offered a free dessert. I suggested a new prime rib. The owner came out and apologized and said it was left in the window too long. He brought me another one. It was cooked well but the meat was again very tough. And the normally juicy fat that should melt in your mouth was like gristle. My potato was also not done. My jalapeño corn was mushy and bland.

We did both have two drinks. Bill was $132. No discounts offered. Waitress was friendly but inexperienced. Don’t hold anything against her. Still left a $20 tip but whatever was going on in the kitchen was not good. Disappointing first visit given all the...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Speedy’s Chophouse in Grove, OK, and I can’t say enough good things about it! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, making us feel right at home.

Now let’s talk about the food! The ribeye steak was cooked to perfection—juicy and full of flavor. The pork chops were equally impressive, and the salmon was fresh and delicious. If you’re in the mood for a burger, you won’t be disappointed either; it was one of the best I’ve had!

To top it all off, the drink menu is fantastic! They offer a great selection of cocktails, wine, and beer to complement your meal perfectly.

Bailey and Lori, the locally-owned experienced restaurant owners, are doing a fabulous job bringing this gem to our community. Their passion for great food and service shines through in every aspect of the restaurant.

We've been to speedy's now quite a few times and the food has never disappointed. It was the same last night, what was upsetting was when my husband had finished his meal he still had half of his wonderful steak dinner leftover. Of course this is the norm for him as he loves taking it home for a lovely "midnight snack".

While we were deep in conversation, Jason comes by and whisks the plates away and is gone in the blink of an eye along with the rest of my husband's steak meal.

When my husband mentions this to Jason, Jason simply replies, "sorry". This will be our last visit...
