I've been a loyal, daily customer of Starbucks for over 15 years... My regular daily visits are at the Starbucks in Hattiesburg on Hardy... The staff all know my name and likewise I know all of their names...
On occasions when I am on the coast I stop at this Starbucks in Gulfport for a refill of fresh coffee... I have an old reusable cup I use daily that I have had for over 8 years... I love my cup because it keeps my coffee hot longer than any other cup I have ever used... My cup is faded and old, but today for the first time I was told by the batista that my cup is too dirty and she refused to touch it...
Shocked, but understanding, I suggested she get something to put my cup in so she didn't have to touch my cup as they do at some other Starbucks, but she refused any solutions, instead I felt I was being scolded and shamed...
Another Starbucks employee joined in and insisted it was Starbucks policy... (with exception of Covid) I told them I have been getting coffee from Starbucks at various locations for over 8 years with this same cup and no one has ever refused me or even commented about my cup being too dirty... I've had batistas from other location go as far as offering to rinse my cup out if it appeared coffee grounds were visible from the last cup , but never refused or worse, scolded for having an old faded coffee stained cup...
Both batistas continued to exclaim it was Starbucks policy over and over until I left humiliated and shamed... I have never been treated with such disrespect from anywhere, let alone Starbucks... I kept my cool as I usually do and simply left after taking my coffee in a paper cup and pouring it in my dirty old cup... I decided to post this as a review, not so much for them not wanting to touch my cup, but the way I felt litterally attacked with a harsh and rude attitude!!! It was certainly not necessary to make me as a customer, feel dirtier than my cup... She even went as far as to tell me she wanted to scold me on a prior visit. All this was in front of other customers and made me feel as though I was being singled out and treated like an annoyance rather than a customer just stopping in as usual to get my coffee refilled...
Later the same morning I was in Slidell.. I stopped in with the same old cup and they refilled me with no issues or comments...
Needless to say I will avoid this Starbucks from now on... I'll go out of my way to another location that has an early morning crew with a better attitude...
Read moreLet me start off by saying there is only one girl at this location that is the ABSOLUTE BEST! She even knows my name because of how often I get coffee from there. Like she knew who I was through the speaker when I was trying to order! She is absolutely amazing!!! Literally the only reason why I even continue to give this location a chance.
I know these last few months or maybe even two years have been very hard on businesses. I get it I work for a similar company just different product. This location specifically lacks customer service. This morning 12/30/2021 around 5:45 I tried ordering at the speaker because I wanted to use my 50% off winnings from the Starbucks from life game.(mind you I always order through the app so I can’t use the coupon on the app which is why today i ordered in The DT) I also ordered a cheese danish, my venti white choc mocha made with blonde espresso coffee, and a $20 Giftcard. Well I got to the window and when she scanned the coupon it apparently said it had already been used. Well like I said I always order through the app so there is no way I could of used it. She wasn’t accommodating AT ALL! Didn’t even bother to figure out why or what was wrong( lacks customer service) So, I said just take it off. She seen I had a $50 bill and was immediately like “oh I probably won’t have change for that!” I was like umm I’m getting that $20 GC too. She wasn’t pleasant at all. I was annoyed and frustrated at this point so I said just cancel my entire order. I then called the store to speak with a manager and she was not at all accommodating either or didn’t even brother to apologize. All she said was I could come inside because the girl she had in her DT was one of her best. If that girl (Sophia) was one of her best then Starbucks standards are...
Read moreValuable for the price at Starbucks are you kidding me REALLY $$$15.00+ a tip 1 cheese danish 1 large hot Carmel coffee. I got a flat smashed Cheese Danish. I had to ripper the sleeve open and lick my cheese part off of bag. When I finally get my 1 coffee 25 minutes later (Grande drink is 16 ounces), but my drink is poured into a thermal cup i had with me that has measurement on the bottle-- My Grande large 16 ounce was really 12 1/2 ounce, the Starbucks cup I was given was full i didn't think anything about it until I poured it into my cup to keep it warm longer. So is it normal to sell a Grande and not get the 16 oz's? To go back inside and say anything would be crazy because of the wait time that I was there already for 2 things. When you expect what you ordered to be right and there are so many employers bumping into each other , and there are so many customers as well no where to sit, or even stand the cup display in the middle took way to much space and there could of been more seating for people. You go inside because thinking it would be faster because the drive thru is a joke being that long of a line. Maybe they need to think about moving locations and set up like Chick-fil-a's drive thru. A larger area for the workers, and extra space for dine in customers. Then you would also have space to set up to sell your cups. Long store short if a custom orders something they expect that and my 16 oz was not that. Will I go back yes, because I will never ever go back to drunken donuts. That's for ...
