The place was quiet on a Monday morning and we wanted to grab a quick bite before heading to Crested Butte. This cute little local caught our eye and we dropped in.

Service was served quickly and with a smile. THANK YOU, Kristin! Very personable and friendly.

I was having a hard time deciding, so went with the old standby, ice cream. One scoop, $3.50 so fairly typical. It was creamy without being too rich with good flavor. There were six or eight choices, I do believe.

The lady got a hot chocolate and turkey pepper jack croissant. The croissant was the flaky kind that falls all over, but oh so good. The turkey, although hard to find, was firm, not too soft or fatty. The sandwich was $6.45 and the hot chocolate $3.50. I think the total came to $17 or so with the tip and taxes added.

Definitely a cute little place along the main street in Gunnison. Next time we are in the area, we plan on...

Definitely 5 stars for Cake Me Away!!!!! My husband and I recently got married in Lake City, CO, but we live in Texas and so planning from afar was not such an easy task; however, Alyssa made the cake ordering process so painless and she was an absolute delight to work with! I sent her what I had in mind as far as the flowers on the cakes, etc., and she did exactly what I asked for and more! Not only did the cakes look amazing, more importantly, they tasted amazing! Everybody at the wedding was raving over them! To specify, we had one lemon with vanilla frosting, one chocolate with chocolate frosting, and vanilla and chocolate cupcakes. From her top notch service, to professionalism, to overall just being a very sweet and great person to work with, I HIGHLY recommend ordering from Cake...

Alyssa is hands down the most talented and creative baker I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. She has made a couple cakes for me in the past and every time she surpassed my expectation of how a cake can look and taste. I came to Alyssa with the challenging task of making a Dinosaur cake for my nephews Birthday. She was able to give life to this once extinct creature and bring nothing but joy to my nephew and all who attended his birthday party. The cake not only matched my nephew favorite dinosaur but when it came to taste, who would have known that a dinosaur could taste so amazing!
