Delektabowl — Restaurant in Gunnison

I don’t often write reviews but I feel inspired to shine a big ole spotlight on how wonderful this place is. I was feeling a little under the weather this morning when I woke up and knew my body needed something healthy, fresh, and bright. A recommendation from a friend led me to Delektabowl.

Not only was the food exactly what I needed to fuel my body, but the owner was chatting with everyone that came in. He wanted to make sure that he made everyone’s beverages to their liking, customizing the sweetness on teas, ginger ales and lemonades. You can tell he loves for people to love what they get. He was a beaming ray of positivity.

I ordered the river bowl w/ teriyaki, a wellness shot, and a cold pressed juice. My food was delicious, came out quickly, and the shot and juice were just what I needed. I felt energized for the first time in a two day slump.

The valley is starved for a place like this. We need healthy options that are quick and affordable, and don’t skimp on quality. This will be my new go to before/after a strenuous hike or long day on the river. There are ample options for vegans/vegetarians as well as clean, protein rich meals for the rest. I would love to see this place thrive and continue to turn out delicious, healthy and fast food for the community and visitors....

I don't usually leave reviews, but when it was $50 for 2 bowls and there were multiple things wrong with both bowls, it's a not go for sure! My girlfriend has been here 3 times now, and she loved it the first time about a year ago, but ever since, it has gotten worse and worse.... today, unfortunately, both of our dressings were wrong, and I got my least favorite dressing of all time. I ended up having to wait to get back up to Telluride to eat it. We also paid for extra corn (we got no corn), and we paid for exta avocado on one, and it literally had 2 super thin slices on it. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our food at Delektabowl. My picky 6 year old loved the black rice and chicken. My free range bowl was excellent, as were my MIL’s egg salad toast and my husband’s smoothie/avocado toast. It was refreshing to get healthy, delicious food after being on the road. It’s evident that Delektabowl uses high-quality ingredients in all of their offerings, down to the homemade sauces.
