I cannot find enough stars on Google in order to express just how satisfied and happy with yet another amazing experience with the staff and service at Roma's Italian restaurant in Guthrie Oklahoma. After a 13 hour day in the trades industry I found my way in to Roma's a few moments before closing time and politely asked if they were still available to make me a large meat lovers pizza to go? The waitresses busy performing their closing duties and the staff wrapping up wrapping up a long day's work, Showed no signs of frustration or expediency. I was met with smiles and And a gentleman sitting at a booth with what appeared to be a long time customer turned around, and said without hesitation; "No problem we will take care of you!?" As a former kitchen manager and executive chef for over a decade that level of customer service, and hospitality is something that is not trainable or taught. It is years of Passion, Honor Tradition with true CORE VALVES!! This is why I have and will continue to take my family to Roma's Italian restaurant in Guthrie, Oklahoma to experience the, "Wow-Father," unique family environment. On behalf of the McDonald family I would like to personally thank the staff at Roma's August 17th 2022 again for another wonderful experience..
As everyone may have different experiences and opinions of what great customer looks like, In the era of instant reviews. It is certainly hard to please everyone, especially in an industry that coin the phrase, " The customer is always right!?"
I would personally recommend everyone, whom reads this to visit Roma's Italian restaurant in Guthrie.

Read moreI was honestly excited about coming here because I read the reviews and it sounded like we were going to get some great, AUTHENTIC Italian food. ( mind you, I lived there for a few years) First of all, when asking our waitress about some of the dishes she didn't seem to know very much about them. Secondly, our bread knots were a bit old or overcooked, not sure which one, however very chewy. Our house salads were literally iceberg lettuce with 3 slices of tomatoes and shredded white cheese ( looked like bagged mozzarella) all over the top. My husband ordered the Veal Diablo and the "veal" was a frozen processed patty that tasted like a chicken patty from a school cafeteria. My mayor's special had a tasteless alla panne sauce, the chicken was extremely tough and dry, the ham was store bought ham circles and to top it all off the owner Tony was extremely rude and defensive when we told him that we weren't happy with the dishes. He removed my husband's meal because he admitted that he did not make veal in house and that "however the company made it was not his problem " but was going to make us pay for my dish that I had only eaten about 3 bites of. ( which he did end up removing as he told us that WE were wrong about the dish) We love to eat at and support our local restaurants. However when the food isn't good and especially when the owner of the establishment is rude about the...
Read moreI use to love this place! It use to be amazing but the past couple of times it's been awful. We've had the same waiter the past couple if times and he is very rude. He rushed us to order and when i asked for an extra minute he huffed at me before walking away. When we did order, I had a question about one of the entrees and he acted like I was stupid for not knowing. I went to the salad bar for the first time (I usually order the Ceasar salad so don't get the bar) and asked which dressing was the ceasar-none of them were labeled so I wasn't sure. My waiter scuffed at me again as said they don't have Ceasar on the salad bar. Okay, no problem- I got the creamy Italian instead. Upon eating my salad, I because bluntenly aware that the creamy Italian dressing on the bar and the "Ceasar dressing" that I normally pay for, is the exact same thing. We also ordered about 10 minutes before the table next to us and they were served minutes before us. We had less people than their group. The Chicken Piccata tastes like they just mixes lemon in more lemon. The Chicken Alfredo sauce wasn't even a sauce, it was pure cream that didn't stick to the noodle. I'm so sad to see this place go down...
