Burger King — Restaurant in Half Moon Bay

Our last visit was truly our LAST. We used to go here once every month or two. That ends now. EVERY single time that we have gone here (we live in town) that I can remember, they have screwed up the order. This is NOT an exaggeration. This is likely the result of employing people who have at best a tenuous grasp of the English language as well as negligible work related skills or the drive to acquire them. Last time, our order included a Double Whopper with nothing but onions and cheese, small onion ring and no drinks. The cashier (young kid and obviously a trainee...in addition to barely speaking English), took the order. I spoke clearly and slowly so that he would understand. He nodded and smiled. Then he gave me the receipt which included a large drink and the Whopper did not have the proper information listed, nor did it include the onion ring. I explained that I had not ordered a drink. He smiled and nodded, and handed me a large drink cup! I handed it back and again explained in detail what the order should be (5 minutes for just this much to happen so far). The order arrived several minutes later-regular whopper, no onion ring. I explained again to him what the order should be. He couldn't understand so he got the 'manager' who was completely stressed out putting out all of the incompetence created fires in this place. He assured me that they would fix everything. Order up again...this time with a double whopper with everything. Again, they went to work, and finally got the whopper correct. Unfortunately, they still forgot the onion ring, which required them to make a complete new batch to cover my order. FINALLY (10-15 minutes after I finished giving my initial order) I got the onion rings and left. The poor guys behind me in line had been waiting all of this time with NOBODY even taking their order! Oh ya, one more thing...once I got home and gave my wife her bacon double cheeseburger, we discovered that they had screwed THAT burger up and it was a regular, single burger. All food luke warm at best (except onion rings which were barely cooked). I understand business and the idea of cutting overhead to maximize profit, but hiring people who can barely communicate with customers or even do a simple job at BK properly is not going to keep any business open for long. For God's sake, the freaking cashier boy took 5 minutes to take the order of the guy in front of me-and he spoke entirely in Spanish!!! Adios BK. My money gets spent...

I was highly dis satisfied with the horrible costumer service I received today with what I believe was the manager of this location. We went through the drive throgh, asked for a Wopper Jr , A peppermint Oreo Milkshake, and a Bacon King. She didn't say what the total was, she didn't ask if the screen was correct, she just asked of that was all. Times comes, hands us the bag I look and a tiny burger, had no receipt and I told them I asked for a Bacon King and the cashier said oh that's it and i said no, so he brought out what looked like a manager, she says you orderd a Bacon Jr and the person with me said No, I ordered a Bacon King. We where very polite and we handed her my card back to charge for the difference & she was trying to charge me for both burgers & I told her I didn't want this burger & she goes okay well next time you need to look at the screen! And i told her next time you should listen. I defiantly will not be coming back here due to nasty costumer service, and she refused to refund me for both burgers being i no longer wanted them and handed me...

This Burger King is located in Half Moon Bay, CA, in a shopping center where Route 92 intersects Highway 1. I dropped in because I needed a restroom immediately. As I was speed walking into the BK, I noticed the signs posted on the door stating the restrooms are for customers only. I still proceeded.

I beelined it to the restroom and it was locked. There was no one in line which was fortuitous. So I quickly ordered a hamburger and then asked to use the restroom. The cashier was polite but a woman of few words, she did not verbally respond to my request. I heard a loud buzzing noise and hightailed it to the restroom. She must have used a mechanism behind the counter to buzz and unlock the door. The restroom was clean but very outdated.

The burger was served hot, and it was darn tasty. Classic flame broiled deliciousness. Slight charred patty with a smoky flavor. I ate it on the spot in the dining room. The dining room was super clean, and...
