I visited the Hamilton Twp., NJ location on 11/30 to pick up an online order. While I don’t usually frequent the Hamilton location, I once had a previous pleasant experience there. When the associate brought the order to my vehicle, he wore NO UNIFORM, but rather, black sweatpants & a zip up hoodie both with some designs on them. He hands me my order list & then informs me that he’s been instructed to perform a contactless drop off, so he leaves the car near my car door and quickly leaves. I have previously had multiple occasions of curbside delivery from at least 4 different BJ’s stores where each associate has provided the options of either loading the purchases into my trunk or leaving the cart so that I may do so. This associate never did. He just left the cart. I was irritated, but I resolved myself to just loading the items inside my trunk as I had other errands to run. I realize as I’m loading that there were some items missing. At the time, I hadn’t received notification this was the case, as I’ve had such kind of notifications with past orders. I noted that one of the orders didn’t appear as advertised, so I went inside the store to make a return. While waiting in line at the Customer Service desk, the young man that brought out my order walked up to me asking if I need assistance. I respectfully stated that was one of the items I received wasn’t as advertised. He very abruptly and curtly stated that the code number matched the product selected. Seeing there wasn’t room for polite discussion, I requested for a return of which he reluctantly provided. Then, I mentioned I was missing some items from my order. He once again very curtly responded that they were out of stock & I would receive a refund. And as if his response wasn’t enough, another young associate decides to interject & parrot the same statement. I am very familiar with the process should an item be unavailable, however, I said I hadn’t received a email notification about it yet. I purchased a 1.5k outdoor playset for my kids and after I opened it and started to organize the assembly and put together few pieces I found a lot of cracked and damaged pieces and I felt it would be unsafe for my kids especially with the weather and kids jumping and rough plays would make it worse, so I called the costumer’s service on April 15th explained what happened and I was honest and said I opened it and found pla pla pla and what are my options please so after putting me on hold many times and sending some pictures she said I will get fully refund and keep the playset or discard it yourself, so I thanked her so much for the resolution and after 10 days now called to check where is my refund to buy a new one ? A rude customer service replied No you have to return it to the club to get your money. I said but that’s not what I was told on the previous call?! She said if you didn’t return it you won’t get your money so I asked to speak to a manager he said I don’t know who told you keep it but no you have to bring it back So I said at the first place I didn’t ask to keep it and if you guys changed your mind I should be informed and receive email or a phone call , he didn’t comment And he said call the store may be they will help you pick it up I called the store and I said it’s a lot of pieces and how I’m going to return it back arrange pick up He was very rude and he said the manager said return the playset to get your money and hang up!!!! Read moreThis club has the worst customer service. I went here because online it said they had the item in stock. I went over to customer service and asked Valerie if they had it in stock she said if they did, it would be near with the display when it said to take ticket to purchase. She didnt even try to find out. She said most of the time their stock online is wrong and gave me customer service phone number to call. So i said okay and was getting ready to leave the club as i was walking out i saw 5 pavillions stacked over each other. So i asked another worker if they were sold and he said no they were just stored there. So i went back to Valerie find out why she doesnt know where items are stored, she didnt even bothered to say sorry. And then Ricky came and again i was told they were all sold out even the display was sold waiting to be picked up. Ricky seemed bothered to be talking and didnt want to respond and didnt respond. They finally accepted that they had the item in stock and didnt even offer to have it checked out. Told me to go the register and wait and someone would be there when everyone was free and could have easily helped out. Ricky just left and Gloria helped us check out. And even then i couldnt take the item home. I was told there was nobody to work the forklift and if they decide to prepare it they said i can go and pick up the item next day.
