Burger arrived splayed like a deck of cards from which I was supposed to choose despite the "wrapper" meant to keep it stacked. The fries were cooked to my preference inside but were a hard bite. For the nearly 40 bucks it cost to get it at 12:40 a.m. I expected better. Why waste the wrapper if it is just for show in the website photo. When I called the store, the phone rang 5 times before anyone bothered to pick up. I asked to speak to the manager, the person answering the phone said he was the manager. When I told him I was calling about my delivered order and suggested he might be busy, he responded, "Yes ma'am, we are very busy." I was sitting in the parking lot as I spoke to him. I saw only 2 customers inside and a group of employees standing around talking to one another. NOT AT ALL BUSY. I don't appreciate sloppy food (not due to delivery travel) and I abhore being lied to... especially at so high a price. Will not only never order delivery from there again but also will not ever dine in either. Apparently I am not colorful enough for any restaurant within 4 miles of this store. Same sorry state of food upon delivery from every restaurant in that area while my colorful neighbors invite me over and order and everything arrives in pristine condition and perfectly toothesome from any restaurant in our area. What's the dill, pickle? I give the Dennys team a minus 5 and my delivery person a plus 2 (she took the interstate when she was already on Mercury, which required 7 minutes longer to deliver the order than necessary than if she had stayed on Mercury. Her tip was duly adjusted. Wish I could have adjusted the cost of the mess delivered and the exorbitant fees I had to pay during the least busy time of day.) Not at all happy. Copying and pasting this on all 4 of my social media accounts. Strike three of my efforts to dine at this Dennys location on 3 different times 1year pre- durring- and now 09/01/2023 post COVID Pandemic at various times of day. Shame on you! I will not be back. If all you restaurants want only colorful customers, put a sign on your door and a notice on your website. We CHEROKEE are used to bigotry, just usually shoved in our faces, down our throats, and in parts we should be...
Read moreWe walked into this Denny's, the night before last, around 11:45 p.m. Not one other person was in this restaurant besides the workers. The lady asked how many & I said nine of us, ( 7 of us are here on our annual vacation from NC , the other 2 locals ) as the server was trying to throw together three tables to accommodate all of us to sit together, a cook emerges from the back, and immediately says " Are you kidding me?!" As he throws his hands up and out to the side. As he's shaking his head no, he says, " Well, I've only got one fryer and walks back into the back. "
#1 - Wowwwwwww. You sir, work at a 24 hour place of business & 9 people walk into a ghost town & that's your comment. 🤦🏼♀️ #2 - 2 of us are managers in well known restaurants & this IMMEDIATELY did not sit well with us. We decide to leave as apparently, we weren't welcomed. #3 - Your attitude, comment & actions sir, cost that server at LEAST a 20% tip depending on HER service & the rest of the experience. She was sweet. Even when I told her it wasn't her fault - I made it perfectly clear as to why we were leaving. #4 - If the restaurant has faulty equipment, that's not OUR concern as a consumer & that is how you should NOT address a situation. #5 - This was the first time we opted to go to a Danny's in at least 5 years because the last experience was TERRIBLE just like this time.
We ended up right down the street at a Waffle House where we have NEVER felt unwanted. Spent over $130 & left her a great tip.
I have continuously thought about not leaving this review but as a previous server. I have thought about that lady that we walked out on that night numerous times in the past two days. Maybe this is the first time that that man has acted like this Or maybe it's not. Someone needs to address the situation either way because HIS actions directly affected your business, and that lady's...
Read moreIt's Christmas day and my son and I decided to try Denny's breakfast at 10:15am after my wife and I had a poor experience sometime ago. (That review below) Anyhow, we walk in and we're told over an hour and a half wait. We waited and listened to the hostess inform every walk in customer the same thing and that they have a bunch of phone orders to handle. All of this is fine but after 30 min, we noticed that all the tables were empty, and that there are 2 cooks, 3 servers and the hostess. We watched the 3 servers just stand and face the cooks waiting to bag up orders which clearly didn't take 3 of them to accomplish. Why are they not mixing in walk in customers with phone orders? Other Dennys locations say that's what they're suppose to do. It is quite obvious this location's strategy is to handle all phone orders first and wait until it winds down before seating folks. Not sure why the owners operate this way in a large brick n mortar building. The point is, if you're trying to sit and eat at this Denny's, stay clear. We went ahead down to the waffle house down the road and waited 10min to be seated.
My wife and I first time ever walking out of a restaurant in 28 years. First, we waited an hour for our food when there was only 3 tables of folks plus 1 personat the bar. My wife ordered nachos and the chips were hard, minimal chili and no pico. They ran out and told us after the food arrived. I ordered breakfast. Asked for eggs to be over medium but they were burnt on each side and the yolk was completely cooked. The hashbrowns were burnt and my wife could here me eating them. The waiter was very apologetic. Needless to say, after my one bite of the hashbrowns and my wife's expression at looking at her nachos, we left. Probably will never return to the...
