Should you decide to park your car at this gasoline-smelling-convenience dump for the purpose of grabbing a good cup of Dunkin' with maybe a donut, then here's what to do next: get back in your car, floor the accelerator, and speed into the opposite direction from which you came. Until recently, this used to be a fairly reliable venue for Dunkin' staples, but the hard-working manager Bambi and her equally productive right-hand woman Yvette apparently had their fill of Dunkin' corporate greed, about which I have been hearing for some time. So they quit a couple of weeks ago. The two ladies probably also got fed up with the large % of tough customers too. The "team" working in their place today are the not the first replacements either, because I recall a more competent staff behind the counter only a week ago.
This morning was the last straw for me. The person who took my order was barely pleasant & none too sharp, either. I asked for my senior discount (minuscule though it be) , she said yes, but the receipt proved she failed to apply it. The wait lasted longer than it should have, although admittedly the customer right ahead of me did ask for two specialty coffees. No, what turned me off was the mix of foul language and griping emanating from two women preparing the orders behind the counter, bad enough, in fact, that the clumsy cashier herself asked them to pipe down. Meanwhile, a Dunkin' higher-up walked in with some Dunkin' products obtained from outside the store and directly scooted past the counter crew and into the kitchen in back. I recognized him as the same person who was very much hands-on when I visited last week.
Thank goodness there is a higher-functioning Dunkin' less than a mile up the road, otherwise I'd have to figure on settling for a more distant venue on my daily commute from Hampton to...
Read moreMy husband and I stopped by this Dunkin on the way home this morning. When we went up to order the cashier let us know they were out of the hashbrowns. When I told her the next part of my order she informed me that they were also out of the bread for that sandwich. So I chose another sandwich. My husband and completed our orders and went to wait. We waited a solid 10 minutes before the food handler informed me that they out of the sandwich bread for that sandwich too. So I chose ANOTHER sandwich. She eventually brought my portion of the order out, but another 10 minutes go by and she still hadn’t brought out my husband’s portion of our order...but somehow managed to bring out someone else’s order. This order included FOUR sausage, egg, and cheese croissants.And this person was 2 or 3 people behind us. My husband only ordered 1. At this point I went to the cashier and explained the issue. She went back and told the food handler. Another 5 minutes go by and the food handler comes back up with what I THOUGHT was my order. It was not. So I confront her and ask her why people who have come in after us are all getting their food. She gets an attitude with me?? And she wasn’t even wearing a mask....
Read moreTerrible experience at this location! I showed up around 6:40pm, with the Google listing still showing a 7:00pm closing time for the Dunkin Donuts part of the gas station. As soon as I walked in, an older lady working the register rolled her eyes at me and told me they were closed. I politely informed her that there was still at least 20 minutes until the stated closing time, but she just ignored me and went back to the register. When the Dunkin' Donuts worker came out, I asked if they were really closed, and he confirmed that yes, they had already closed up for the day. So not only were they closing early without updating their public hours, the staff was also very rude and dismissive when I tried to point that out. Needless to say, I won't be returning to this location. If they can't be bothered to keep their posted hours accurate or treat customers with basic courtesy, then they don't deserve my business.
