Denny's — Restaurant in Hanford

Decided to visit Denny’s again after not being here for awhile because of a bad experience. So decided to try again and once again I was disappointed. When we arrived and seated there wasn’t very many people there so we noticed everyone was eating shy of one table. We sat waiting for someone to come and take our drink order much less acknowledgement would have been respectful. So after fighting a lot of flies and bringing our drinks it took awhile for them to take our order. In the meantime we can hear the employees in the back having a good old time laughing and carrying on. Which I wouldn’t have minded if they were working at the same time. So we finally get my order the build your own burger and they bring cheese on my burger. Which I cannot have cause of medical reasons. So the waitress sends it back to have it remade , in the meantime my friend is trying to eat slow waiting on my food. My friend finished her food and.I still didn’t have my burger so I canceled my order. Then she had the gull to say my manager had me take the burger off but kept the extra charges on, so she had to fix the receipt again. But I was not going to pay for something I didn’t get. Needless to say I had to dine elsewhere. I will never dine at this Hanford...

The place was packed, standing room only. I was pushed around by the uncomfortable closeness of everyone in the lobby and my daughter and I ended up standing next to the register where there was a customer refusing to pay his $6 tab. He stunk of alcohol (it was like, 10:30 AM). Maggie, the woman at the register was calm, respectful and had offererd a free iced coffee to go with no luck. Eventually, after he was told the authorities would be involved, he paid. Maggie did a great job handling the situation.

When we were seated I noticed there was a large party of 120(ok,maybe like 50). I was was like, damn, we really picked a wrong time to eat at Denney's. I was wrong. The team in the area we were seated did amazing. My daughter and I were greeted instantly, drinks were just as fast, food was out quick and hot. I got everything I asked for as an afterthought, immediately.

Our server, Jessica B, had the party of 400 and she was helped by MJ and Michelle. They displayed great team work and I also noticed them helping bussers clean tables. The cashier's at the end were friendly and got Maggies attention when I let then know how impressed I was. Thats how I got everyones...

Me and my family went to Denny's for a late night dinner around 10p.m. ish. Upon arriving, we were greeted by Nancy and seated. I ordered a cheeseburger without onion or mayo and it came out of the kitchen with both of them. I then asked for a new bun and Nancy sent it back to get a fresh bun. When I got the burger I took two bites out of it to find out that it was hella raw. It was so raw that the bun was soaking up the bloody juices. I pulled the burger apart to discover that not only it was raw, it was hella cold. They might as well have given it to me frozen - that's how cold it was.

I asked Nancy for the manager and she came over. After showing her what came out of the kitchen, she asked me if I wanted anything else and I replied I do not want anything else from the kitchen due to the fact that I was presented a hella cold burger. She then apologized and comped the whole bill for the kitchens mistake.

Maybe in the next few months, I might go back again to see if there was an improvement in the kitchen service.
