Mocha Boba — Restaurant in Hanford

I was super excited for this boba/mochi donut place to come to the mall in Hanford. We just moved from Orange County and were excited for more food and drink options in town. Ordered a milk tea with boba and a Vietnamese ice coffee with no boba. The milk tea with boba was decent, boba was fresh and the ratio of sweetness was good. The Vietnamese ice coffee on the other hand was watered down and tasted off, I only took one sip. I’ve had numerous Vietnamese ice coffees before and had a different expectation of my drink. I kindly asked the gentleman at the counter to please exchange my drink for another drink that was the same price and he refused. He told me with attitude that if he exchanged my drink he would have to exchange it for other people as well. As a consumer and a business owner myself who works in the food industry I feel that if someone is spending their money on your product and they are not satisfied you should be able to exchange the item for a different item. Especially if the item was not consumed. I was not asking for another beverage that costed more, nor was I asking for a refund, I was asking for something that was the same price. After going back and forth he said that “the manager” would re make my drink, he went back there himself and poured me another cup of the “Vietnamese inspired coffee” from a pitcher that was already made in the fridge. I took it as a loss and just left because it was no longer worth going back and forth for. Hanford is a small community, local businesses need the community’s support, but if you treat your consumers like that most won’t come back to support...

I love Mocha Boba! I was so happy to have Mochi donuts near me instead of going all the way to Fresno, and have been ordering from them repeatedly for the past 6 months. Mochi Donuts are sweet and soft on the inside with flavorful toppings. The staff is very friendly and their drinks are very good! **Thank you to the lovely female Staff who called me 01/17 to tell me the mochi donuts were out (they were also closing and I didnt realize when I was ordering). I orderd again today and got a Thai tea on the house with a lovely note saying they were sorry my previous order couldnt be fullfilled. New place never had been to it. Line started to grow fast definitely busy it did take 10 min for our food but that’s fine considering our order was fresh and hot! Ordered a Hot Cheetos corndog with only cheese filling and a Spicy Mangonada. Drink was the perfect balance not too sweet and not super spicy. Just a normal refreshing slush.
