Copperhead Grille Allentown — Restaurant in Hanover Township

This is my first time dining here and I ordered the baby back ribs, twice baked potato, cinnamon apples and an Angry Orchard Hard Apple cider. Going from the most appealing part of my dinner to the least appealing I rate the Cinnamon Apples as the best part of my dinner. It tasted exactly how you would imagine it should, warm with crispy cinnamon bits. The twice baked potato tasted good with the help of a full dollop of sour cream. I was hesitant to eat the potato as the bacon bits looked over a day old and saturated with grease. The baby back ribs were flavorless for the most part and overcooked, this was the first time I didn't finish my baby back ribs. I hate wasting food but I couldn't finish 1/3 of the ribs, I tried but could not. The Angry Orchard came first and was cold and crisp, however; there was a faint sulfurous taste to it. I thought I was imagining this faint flavor but it only grew stronger as I neared the bottom of my glass. I sat at a booth table and the cushion for your back had a fabric design and was tattered, worn and looked dirty. It could potentially be an infection control problem if they do not replace these cushions. The seat of the bench was in excellent condition, the back really needs to match. This was my first and last time dining at Copperhead Grille. I wish I had the foresight to take pictures so I could add them to my review, I do have a picture of the seat back. I must say that the best part of this experience was the greeting the hostess gave me as well as how genuinely nice the server was. To them I would like to give 5 stars. ...

My wife brought me in this afternoon for fathers day was told a 15 minute wait put our names down for the wait watched other family’s come in and be seated before me looked over at the two hostesses and then one comes over to tell me they can put me in a u booth if I put my son in between myself and my wife because they can’t put a high chair at a u booth. Said I cannot do a booster seat and would need to wait for a High chair. The family next to me had the same requirements and came in well after me and my family and were sat before me. When I approached the hostess about this was told they were sat before me due to the amount of people and it didn’t matter how long i waited l. The manager (gentleman) jumped in and tried to explain it differently not understanding what actually happened but came to the same conclusion that ultimately no matter how long me and my family were there before he would seat the bigger family due to it being a business and it needs to make money. Ultimately he said I can seat you right now and sat me at a u table with a high chair the exact thing his hostesses said they couldn’t do!!! He informed his waitress to let me know that he sent over fried mozzarella that I let her know I would pay for I didn’t want a hand out and damn sure didn’t need a free &10 appetizer the manager didn’t even have the common courtesy to check in on us during the meal.waitress was wonderful and did a great job my wife said the food was great as I lost my appetite after speaking...

Food is great, but service is not.

I did an online order for curbside pickup. Pickup was scheduled for 5:05pm. I arrive at 5:15, and they tell me my order isn't ready yet, and to give them another 10 minutes. No problem. She then tells me I need to go inside to pick up. That's not curbside, but again, no problem. I ask her if she can call me when the order is ready and she says no, she can't. After waiting 15 minutes in the parking lot, I walk in and ask for my order. No one can find it, and apparently couldn't even find the ticket for the order. I had to show them the email of what it was. She tells me to have a seat while they rush my order, an additional 15 minutes waiting. Meanwhile while I'm waiting in the restaurant for my food, I see an employee bringing other people's orders to their car. At this point, I'm extremely frustrated and asked what had happened to begin with. She couldn't give me an answer. No apology from anyone. The manager didn't offer anything to make up for this big error on their part. My order took an additional 45 minutes total after arriving at my promised time. I understand these are crazy times with the pandemic. I understand a busy Saturday night. This issue was handled very poorly and made me feel like certain customers are more important than others.

This was my first time trying out this establishment after wanting to go for many years. I can definitely say this will be my last time.

At least the food was worth all...
