They're short-staffed, but if you can withstand the wait time, it's amazing.
My family and I are passing through the area on our way to see a mechanic in the Petoskey area and this was the best-looking option in an area with almost no restaurants. My dad went in alone to check the wait time because my mom, who is limited-mobility disabled, said "It looks pandemic-packed." It took about 20 minutes for him to come out and grab us and explain the situation: there are two waitresses and 3 cooks, and they're doing the work of at least 10 people.
My mom ordered this dish that's like chicken parmesan mac and cheese, my dad ordered top sirloin with mashed potatoes and broccoli, my teenage brother ordered the classic chicken strips and friends, my pre-teen sibling ordered themself a burger and fries. I, myself, decided to be adventurous and order the asiago-bacon chicken with a side of broccoli and fries. We also ordered Mozzarella Sticks as an appetizer.
We had no complaints. Our waitress, for her workload, was super attentive. Our biggest shock was the perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned broccoli. My plate had the most divinely-flavorful mixture of, like, chicken juice and the parmesan sauce, which got all over some of the broccoli. By the time I was past that, I started dipping my broccoli in the sauce. The chicken itself was tender, juicy, definitely well-cooked, and honestly just... Gosh. Like, I won't even lie, if you asked me yesterday what restaurant had the best chicken dish, I would've said "Alice Springs Chicken from Outback", but my gosh this took the cake. This is really it, y'all.
The fries were just our favorite amount of crispy-on-the-outside and were wonderfully salty without being too salty. Pairs great with ketchup or their ranch. My sibling prides themself on their ranch rankings, and their biggest complaint was that it could be just a little thicker, but they said the flavor made up for it.
And the best part, given mine and my siblings' ADHD, was that the restaurant wasn't too loud, and the music was enjoyable. Sensory-wise, even, they excelled.
If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. I've added it to my personal list of places to...
Read moreWell let's just say if I could give them no stars I would but unfortunately I have to give them something. I brought my family here last night March 1st for dinner. My family consists of my three children ages 10 9 and one and my mother. When we entered we were not warmly greeted by anybody we requested a booth and the lady that was helping us didn't even talk to us so we didn't know if we had to follow her. So we good by the door waiting for something verbal to know what we were supposed to do. Then all of a sudden she came back and said your table this way really mean and so we thought okay whatever so we sat down we were all hungry my one-year-old was starving so I just want to order food fast. We sat there for 20 minutes without being waited on served or anything our waitress was working on a table so we thought we are next in line well my mom mentioned to me that if the people that were sat down after us was waited on we're leaving and sure enough both tables at walk behind us both were waited on by the waitress we still were sitting there with nothing. We then motioned to the hostess who sat us if they could figure out where waitress was cuz that that time we didn't know and she didn't even listen to us she just walked away and started talking to another customer mid-sentence of us we we just we were not treated very nice we had a horrible experience and we will never be back in this restaurant. We went down to Big Boy and had a great meal and my son who is 1 years old was absolutely vanish Lee starving so I had to feed him the quickest thing I could think of was a buffet and we had ended up salvaging the night. I hope Ruby Tuesday gets better in line with their Hostess who are very unwelcome and unfriendly in a waitress that didn't even care that we were sitting there with kids thanks a lot...
Read moreDecided to try the ruby Tuesdays in Cadillac. I ordered the 6oz ribeye with crabs legs dinner I came in to pick up my order and 2 lady’s working at the entrance checking people in. I stood there for a good minute or two while th le ladies were talking and didn’t even think knowledge that I was there. I finally spoke up and said I have a takeout order. One of the ladies looked at me and said it’s behind the bar then continued talking. Me not knowing this RT layout never being in this building before I asked where the bar was. It figured it was rude with her not to show me where I can pick my food up at. The lady pointed in the direction where I can pick my food up at and turned away to continue a conversation with her co worker. I go across the restaurant and end up at a bar. We’re many people are sitting ordering. I waited a few Good minutes before I got the bartenders attention. I told her I had a pick up order when she directed me in a different direction where I found my food sitting on a rack. I was annoyed at this point and just wanted to get out of there knowing that I gave a $7 plus tip and this is the service that I got and I didn’t even sit down and eat. My food was cold when I got home I was missing my mac & cheese. My steak look terrible and thin no seasoning . I have no utensils no butter. I called and had them remake the steak and add the mac & cheese I ordered. So here I am again at ruby Tuesdays waiting for them to remake my steak and to add the mac & cheese. While my crab legs are at home and probably won’t taste the best now they’ve been waiting on my kitchen counter. Will not order out from...
