Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Haring Township

This was only my second visit to a Tropical Smoothie chain. I ordered a "Strawberry Bahama Mama" and requested to have the strawberry switched to bananas and to have a shot of protein added. While I waited for my smoothie, there was only one other customer in the store. It took almost 30 minutes for my smoothie to be made, and although I was charged extra for the fruit switch and the added protein, I received neither. The young lady behind the counter was rude and acted as if I was greatly inconveniencing her by coming in to her store to make a purchase. When I requested the change and addition, she became very disgruntled and told me that it would cost more money and take more time if I didn't get my smoothie exactly as it was listed on the menu. I told her I would pay and wait, and she proceeded to ignore me and assist the customer behind me in line as well as the customers at the drive-thru window. The customer behind me ordered 4 smoothies, and she got them and was gone for at least 10 minutes before my drink was even started.

I think the photo speaks for itself.. and this isn’t even what I ordered. I ordered the chicken quesadilla and received a tortilla with basically nothing in it. The receipt says cheese quesadilla, so they had my order wrong, but even so, this is the worst food I’ve ever paid for in my entire life. There’s literally nothing inside of it. The only cheese that came in it was spilling out the side and stuck to the paper. The entire quesadilla was stuck to the paper and had paper chunks all over it. Completely inedible. Not to mention every experience I’ve had here, the workers are not friendly. I have never even wrote a review before for any restaurant, because I’m not ever one to complain. Everyone has bad days or makes mistakes sometimes. I just can’t believe someone would make a quesadilla that bad and then give it to a paying customer. I’ve had a couple of bad experiences here, wait times being 15-20 minutes and unfriendly employees but this time was by far the worst. Having grown up in Florida I've always had a thing for fruit smoothies! Since moving to Michigan it's been tough to find a nice spot..I've been a bit unsure of tropical.. was scared was going to be a let down.. but last night finally gave it a try, service was great wasn't sure what to order.. told the young woman by the name of katherine that I'm originally from Miami and I'm a bit picky.. she recommended I'd try the mango magic!
