Little Thai — Restaurant in Harker Heights

My husband introduced me to this quaint little restaurant in Harker Heights. He brought home some lunch leftovers, and I took a taste. It's hard to find authentic cuisine sometimes. Little Thai is authentically delicious. If you enjoy spice, a little heat adds just the right balance to a Thai meal. They politely ask what degree of spice you'd like, and pay careful attention to special requests or concerns with allergies... And they are SERIOUS about preparing your meal with care should you have allergies such as "Peanut" allergies etc.. Fresh tastes and vibrantly colorful dishes not only look great but taste great too. The lady cashing us out made an error in the total for our carry-out. When we called to let them know, they were honest and apologetic. Very disappointed in my service and food. I ordered an item I had never tried before and when I asked the guy what vegetables were in the dish he couldnt even tell me he just asked what I didnt like. That was not my question. I asked for some baby corn and bamboo because I wasnt sure what was in this dish I specifically asked him about. When my dish came out it smelled just like old urine. It was absolutely disgusting. He didnt offer to fix it all he said was it was because I ordered the bamboo in it. The lady cooking said that bamboo isn't good in anything but curries. Well in that case he or she shouldve said something because I wasted $11 on something i didn't eat and honestly almost threw up sitting at my table. I eat Thai food a lot . I travel for a living. One of my co workers has made it his life’s mission to eat Thai in every state in every city we travel to . Needless to say I have eaten a lot of Thai food in the last 15 years in many different states . Little Thai in Harker Heights can easily boast as one of the best . I would venture to say this is the best food in the Harker Heights/Killeen area if not one of the best in the country . It is for a sure a hidden gem. We ordered the chicken Laarb, Panaang curry and the chicken Pad Thai. Finished with traditional sticky rice and mango for dessert . Every dish was bursting with flavor .
