This happened a long time ago so hopefully this horrible person no longer works there. But this is a warning for POC. I really shouldāve sued them for discrimination, which Iām still strongly considering. So Iām an army veteran who took my disabled sister here, who suffered a TBI caused by a bad car crash, to get her an iPhone she qualified for online and wanted really bad. No, we werenāt causing a scene or did anything wrong. Literally sat there quietly and waited. I noticed we got skipped over so I asked a young lady when we would be helped. Then the manager, the tall African American guy, walked up and said āIām not selling her a phone please leave my store.ā Before anyone gets offended, Iām black myself and simply describing him to provide context. Even other customers looked confused and upset by his approach on us. I was extremely confused and asked āWhy ? Did we do something wrong?ā He then got loud and aggressive and said āI have the right to refuse service to anyone I please. Leave before I call the cops.ā I stayed calm, didnāt even argue. I simply said āok Iāll wait for them so I can hear your explanation as to why weāre being humiliated and treated like this.ā I knew we did absolutely NOTHING wrong and knew I wouldnāt be arrested. He then told the bald Hispanic guy to call them. I had to take my sister outside to wait because she was so hurt and confused that she started crying and assumed it was because people can tell sheās mentally disabled and didnāt want to service her. By law, they can refuse service at their discretion. The cops got there and literally took my side upon my compliance with me just agreeing to not go back near this particular store, told me just go to a different one and said he would sue if he was me. Went to the one in Killeen and got my sister her phone with NO issues. Avoid those two men at all costs. It will really be your own people to mistreat you. To this day I have no idea why they did this. Idk if it was racism or mistaken identity but I strongly advise black people not to go here if he still...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI wish I could give this place 0 stars. First, we came to this store to switch over from T-Mobile to the Verizon military plan. Did all the paper work and switching over. We brought our own phones that are unlocked and that we own. The salesman Tyrone also says heās signing us up to receive the $250 gift card for each line because we are bringing our devices over. Well my husband checked his bill and it says we owe $284 on our first bill when we should only have been charged $210 (this includes the one time activation fees for the phone set up for the first bill, which we understand). That means Tyrone never entered our information for the military discount. Also, the gift cards say āinvalid errorā after sending our information in to process (we found this out weeks after leaving the store). So basically we were lied to about receiving these gift cards and military discount to switch over. So we returned to the store to inquire about these issues. Tyrone wasnāt there but another guy was (last name started with an O). He had horrible customer service skills. He had an attitude every time we asked a question. When we told him what was going on, he basically pawned us off on ācall customer serviceā. He didnāt know the pricing of the military plan lines and when confronted with the information plainly displayed on VERIZONS HOMEPAGE, he says āwell thatās not what I was told so just call customer serviceā.... he also said we were given the wrong promo code for the gift cards and gave us a different one (which we found out later was past expired). I believe he just wanted us to leave so he could continue playing on his phone because this location stays dead (shocker!!). So after many hours playing phone tag with Verizon customer service, we were told we essentially canāt get the gift cards because the salesman messed up & weāre screwed on overpaying and not getting our military discount because the paperwork wasnāt submitted in time. DO NOT GO HERE. Waste of money. I wish corporate would shut...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDO NOT COME HERE. Mark made false promies just to close a sale AND IS SHADY. He let us know if we switched, we could buy one Samsung and get one free. We were on the fence and told him wed think about it. He came back and said on top of that he would get us a $400 prepaid giftcard rebate on top. We still said no then he "talked to management" and said he could get us the buy one get one deal PLUS $600 on a prepaid Visa giftcard. I told him that as long as we got this in writing we would switch and he thanked us and said no problem.they order our phones and we come back a few days later to get the phones and promotions in writing and right when we sit down mark says "dont worry I knew you would want the promotions in writing so I already have them printed for you. We spend 2 hours there while he works on switching everything over. Then at the end he goes "so I know you want me to be honest with you and unfortunately the $600 rebate I shared with you expired 3 weeks ago so I cant print out anything but is there anything else I can do for you?" WTF. Mark was hoping I would wait the 30 days for my "rebate" then when I call asking where it is he says "oh sorry that wasnt valid but it's been more than 14 days and you cant return" I spent another 2 hours there making them switch our services back. MARK WILL TELL YOU ANYTHING TO MAKE A SALE THEN LEAVE YOU SCREWED WHEN YOU FIND OUT ITS A LIE. ā·
10/4/19 I need to update you guys on this nightmare. Not only did we waste all of this time because Mark LIED but we have now spent 6 plus hours now on multiple different phone calls because Mark did not remove our activation fees so all of a sudden we had collectors calling us!!! They were trying to charge us $150 in activation fees. We literally had verizon for 5 minutes and made Mark (the lying salesmen POS) switch everything back once we relaized he lied and promised things he couldnt deliver just to make a sale. What a nightmare. Stay...
