This is my second time eating here. The first time I came in the afternoon on a weekday. Service was fast and food was good but a little on the colder side for some reason that day. My second time here now. The hostess stated it was a 45 minute wait. The guests with me heard this last time and only waited 10 minutes when they came. We waited only 15-20 minutes for a table. The hostess continued to tell parties that it was a 45 minute wait and the customers were turning around. Almost like deferring the customers away, however the restaurant was busy, the wait was no where near 45 minutes and these people missed out on their opportunity to try the food. Our waiter, Colton, was very nice and took our order speedily. I think he was a little nervous but overall charming and a delight to have serve us. Our first dish was the chicken gnocchi soup of the day. The soup tasted great, however there was 0 gnocchi in either soup so it was basically chicken noodle soup. We had attempted to order the āold fashioned Fridayā special posted on the wall- however we were informed they are not doing this special at the time. Instead the drink was $10. While waiting we were offered the wrong tables food twice- definitely a disconnection between the waiters/waitresses and the food runners. The girl at the front (not the hostess) was on her phone the entire time with earbuds on and people kept spooking her when thinking she was the hostess. The food - was amazing. The blackened salmon and Atlantic cod were hot and fresh. Full of flavor with every bite. The sides were as good as youād expect a French fry and coleslaw to taste. Overall the experience this time around was pleasant. I believe the average consumer would be satisfied with the service and food. I believe they need a bigger bar or even a bigger location for all these people trying to come here. The manager (I believe) was very active chatting it up with the frequent customers and helping staff with cleaning which was nice to see. I also realize Iām very observant and critical in my review, however this place just needs a few minor fixes and it would be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe restaurant was pretty nice, TVās everywhere playing sports. My family ordered there twice the past couple days. Once, my dad order take out for a pizza and beer nuggets and I ate in with a friend for dinner. For my dadās order, neither item was correct. Pizza had wrong toppings and the beer nuggets didnāt come with sauce. I went back the next day for dinner, service was a little slow and waiter a little inexperienced but fine. Main problem was when we got the bill. I got the calzone with three toppings like the menu said it came with and water to drink. When the bill came, I was charged $1 for each topping. I was pretty confused and was told they charge $1 for the first 3 toppings and $2 for additional ones. I paid it but was a little upset since thatās not what the menu made it seem and I probably would have gotten only 1 or 2 toppings had I known. My friend got a small pizza and Pepsi to drink with one refill. Her pizza was good but the bill charged for 2 Pepsis which confused us until we realized no free refills. It did not say that anywhere on the menu and the waiter did not say anything. Again, she paid but probably would not have gotten a refill had she known since free refills are a pretty common thing. The food was good so Iāll probably try going again in a few months but they have some...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFor over ten years, the best pizza I've ever had was sams in belvidere. Nunzios and green fire have been an acceptable alternative to sams if im not in the mood to drive an hour round trip for a pizza. Today my fiance and I decided to stop at Ciminos, I went there expecting bar food and I was invited into a very comfortable establishment. The beverage prices were exceptional, and the pizza/appetizer prices were some of the lowest in the area. We decided to try a pan pizza, pepperoni(keep it simple, we're trying a new place). At first i was disappointed by the pan pizza not having a puffy buttery flakes crust, my mind was soon changed. This pizza had the high level perfection of a green fire pizza with the authentic sweet sauce and melted loads of mozzarella of a family owned pizzeria. The crust at the end of the pan pizza is insane, the way they pack the cheese into the folded crust is something that can't be compared to any other pizzas. This is a new favorite spot of ours. I also want to add that my fiancee is not a huge fan of pizza, and she was on this ciminos train just as much as i was. The service was perfect. All of the other customers were having a great time and sharing pizzas. I cannot recommend this place enough. THE RANCH ROCKS AS WELL! Thank you ciminos,...
