We were so fortunate to have driven by this place on a Saturday morning from Lahaina to Kihei. I first saw a lot of smoke in the distance, and as we drove closer, rolled down our windows, and smelled the amazing smokey charcoal, we did a U-turn to go back and get the rib and chicken plates. This is my first time eating Huli Huli and I was very impressed, you get your choice of chicken or ribs cooked to perfection over hot coals on a custom made rotisserie barbeque. Served with rice and loose corn (they ran out of rice and served us a double portion of corn), simply good in every sense of the word. Hulu Hulu Chicken is one of my favorite experiences from the first time I visited here. Come on... Who doesn't like to get a head start on dinner? Lightly seasoned, always juicy. You will enjoy it as us or reimagined in an other chicken recipe. I made chicken tacos at home.
