My first review left out what I really meant and I don't know why. It was busy for a Tuesday. We were asked to move because of a private party and not very nicely. The younger server frequents where I work at Tamura's in Kihei. She is delightful and sweet and other server not so much. I have an injury so I use a walker. We got to our table situated by the pool table and waited 15 minutes. Justin who I found out later was the bartender came over already a little stressed dropped off 2 menus and left. Upon his return my girlfriend ordered a Mule and cheese curds I ordered a Top shelf Margaritas and 2 oyster shooters. I guess my questions irritated him he made a comment that the order comes with 3 so I needed 2 orders. I said only 1. And I needed a glass of water. No problem about.the food or the drinks but it was quite loud and we had to shout at each other. Time went by my girlfriend went out to smoke and asked me to order her another round. I started to notice that Justin really did not have any help so I started to feel guilty. There was one bus boy who came by once. Justin came back and I asked about the Agave Margarita. He said it's 7 dollars making me feel I was a tourist and waisting his time. I ordered another Top shelf He brought our drinks and I pulled him aside and gave him $15 dollars and apologized for being a pain and requested separate checks. My girlfriend got her check and I ordered another order of oyster shooters with ponzu sauce. It was great. My check came and I paid without question $52.35. Couldn't finish my drink but I didn't need to. Got my walker and we left. In response to Michael the owner. I was raised on Oahu and moved to Maui in 1983. This is the first time I've ever used social media. I don't look local even though I'm part Hawaiian Japanese and Caucasian. Where...
Read moreThis is the second time i come here and it wasnt as good as the first one, first time was on the 24th of september 2024, ordered the grassfed burger and the alfredo pasta, food was delicious- props to the cookers, and there was only one bartender/server and that guy was so good it made us tip 30% on a 150$ bill, it was bar order only but the guy came out and served as and was so into the menu it sounded like the guy made it, second time i came here was on the 29th of september, not so good, food was not good, i ordered bacon on my burger, got charged for that even though i said to the waitress that its not in there and she offered to bring it to me, well i was halfway in my burger and told her and she said she could bring it to me, wow, i said no and she offered that she removed it from the bill and i said yes, well she didnt and i got charged for it(whatever its 2$ and i paid without asking) but the burger was burnt, fries were burnt, the chicken alfredo pasta was awful, not really cooked (i got this as takeout for my gf coz she was back at the hotel) so yeah dunno who the cooker was but he needs to improve really(maybe just old products) i was really looking forward to coming back and now when i did, i dont want to go a third time, also servers can do a better job at pleasing clients, tipped this time less than 10%, last time 30%, please be wary of this, a food serv can earn...
Read moreWent there last night for dinner and drinks. Our server, Nancy, did a great job taking care of us! I ordered the Mahi fish and chips. Mahi was fantastic but the chips were referred to as "hand cut fries" which, to me, doesn't mean breaded and then fried. Was expecting something different. The meatballs are not meatballs, merely chunks of sausage. The wife's stir fry chicken was good. Drinks were good but overpriced. Biggest issue I have, though, is the "Convenience Fee" added to the check. Apparently, it gets added to every check but only gets taken off if you pay cash. Did I walk into a gas station with a cash/credit price difference? I own a business and this is what SHOULD be considered the cost of doing business. Passing along the cost of using a credit card in this way is shameful. Are you, Mr. Business Owner, really that greedy? You're apparently already well off if you own a business in Maui yet you feel the need to add 3% to our bill to cover YOUR cost of doing business? Shameful! I certainly hope you don't take advantage of your employees by taking 3% of their hard-earned credit card tips as well? They're the reason you're able to live the good life. You should appreciate their hard work and NOT take...
