Oceanfront Coffee & Ice Cream Café — Restaurant in Hawaii

Hands down one of the strangest experiences getting coffee I have ever had. Apparently this is where you buy some of the prints displayed in the foyer. This is what one of the other vendors told me. When presented with the prints I wanted to buy the clerk said and pointed “you have to buy those over there” (towards the other vendor). When I said that that person told me I had to buy them at the coffee shop he laughed and said “I’m kidding I just like to mess with people”. I then asked for an iced coffee and he said “No”. I ignored the no. He rang in my purchases and when the transaction was complete he held out his hand to take my card. Not giving you my card you f’ing freak. He then reiterated his penchant for messing with people. He then disappeared into the back to get my coffee. Is he spitting in my cup now? I gave him a tip as well in my confusion I just wanted it all to end! I never post reviews in context, and I would recommend not going here. Unfortunately one star is the lowest...

Never again. The shop owner was extremely rude. We walked in, no one else was there and stood back as we looked at the menu. Husband complimented saying there was so much to choose from and the guys says "well I've got alot of stuff to do" turns the music up and practically ignores us. I ask about a drink thats pictured on his wall and he very rudely says "I can make it but I'm gonna go ahead and tell you it don't look like that"... Very smart and hateful demeanor towards my daughter as she was deciding on her icecream. Then pulls out instant coffee packets to make our drinks. It really felt like we had done something wrong or that he was miserable the entire time. If you hate people this much then maybe you should just close up shop. Literally the most obviously hateful experience I have ever been treated by a business in my life. I recommend going...

Wow. The service here was extremely angry and full of overly loud sighs and grumbling. The ice cream was very tasty, the Hawaiian ice was good. My Italian soda was passable. The ice tea was hot tea over water and not enough ice. I had to ask twice for more ice. I got that ice with a heavy amount of negative energy. He felt like slamming utensils around and cussing under his breath were appropriate. The issue was all service related. His name tag said "manager" the owner needs to look into someone who cares about customer service. The treats were good, but the entire customer service experience was the worst we experienced in our 8 days on the island. We mentioned that we tip good for excellent service and his quote was "if I wanted big tips I would be a bartender" ok then, no tip for you and we will not be back...
