Tropical Dreams- Gourmet Ice cream — Restaurant in Hawaii

The worst service we’ve had in three trips to Hawaii. We turned up an hour before closing. Our son dashed over from where we were shopping at Crazy Shirts to make sure he got in before eight just in case it closed at eight (we now see that Google says nine pm). He was so excited for ice cream! We’d promised it and this was our first opportunity to buy him some that day. I was about 30 seconds behind him as he gleefully skipped into the store. As I approached, the door was slammed in my face, despite my son already being inside, and that awful hand-waving thing to shoo someone away was aggressively waved at me. “Go away! We‘re closed!” proclaimed the pale faced proprietor snarling through contorted features. Unexpected, unnecessary abrupt, and rude tone. And strange as there were still 3 other people inside. We left with a very disappointed child. I can only assume something awful is happening in the proprietor's life. In a town where whole streets of stores are closed for good, it strikes me as odd that someone would not only turn away business but do their best to ensure we never attempt to...

Astronomically Terrible service! the server ignored us for about 2 minutes while we clearly wanted ice cream. While within the 17 minuits she took to ring though 2 cones and a coffee (which was served to us practically cold) my ice cream was basically melted. she proceeded to ask my mother if she wanted her coffee microwaved to be heated up instead of offering to make a fresh pot when informed the coffee was cold( PURE LAZINESS ) not to mention it was extremely pricey and the employee was very clearly disinterested in working due to literally having an open facetime call laid on the counter while she was working in very plain sight of the customers. NEVER GIVE THIS TERRIBLE PLACE ANY TIME OR MONEY YOU WILL BE SORRILY...

Very very friendly staff. I love this area! They have great open seating with beautiful views of the water. We’ve gone back multiple times for the smoothies and shave ice. Good prices and great atmosphere. Nice area to relax in, you can hear the waves coming in and see colorful fish in the water.

Reasonable prices for products and the flavors were great! They dont have that syrup taste, they use real fruit. My fiancé got a kona coffee flavored shave ice and they used real iced coffee for the flavoring. I appreciate the fact that they don’t use syrups the flavor...
