Teddy's Bigger Burgers — Restaurant in Hawaii

A 50's style motif burger cafe. Walk up order service, runners bring food to your table. Old style songs play in background. Wait time for food, 10-15 minutes after ordering. Wide variety of burger offerings, with beef, chicken and turkey patty options. Somewhat pricey for a burger.

Note the menu is a bit confusing for pricing, main menu has price of burger, but if you order it specialized (extra fixings etc) which is on the board menu next to main menu, add almost another $4, to the price of the meal. Selection of french fry types and onion rings.

Only downside, we had a chicken sandwich ordered with a specialized request, all was good on the sandwich, but the chicken was overcooked and dry. We brought this up towards the end of the meal with one of the employees who said they would get us a refund for that sandwich. However, because we waited till the end of the meal to present this, the shift supervisor wouldn't refund us for the meal or discount the price. So if you don't like your meal, take it back right away and ask for a new sandwich or burger or to get a refund. Shift manager was not pleasant to deal...

After a day at the beach we hit Teddy’s BB because overall eaters were great! Our experience was terrible. First, waited 30 minutes for our burgers and drinks to come out. The burgers and fries were okay (3.5 stars from us). My son was told large drinks get free refills. I ordered a Dr Pepper and it was flat (no carbonation). I tried to drink it because not worth the hassle. After chocking down about 1/2 of it I decided to have them just get the refill as lemonade because no carbonation. When I asked the young man, he went to who I assume was the manager. She said when did I notice no carbonation (in a not very helpful or kind tone). I said with the first sip but tried to drink it before getting a free refill and was going to get something else, but can’t drink any more of it so just want the refill as Lemonade now. She said no free refills and shook her head. I said them pour my drink out and refill it with lemonade for the 1/2 I didn’t drink. Teddies gets a special review because it's in a league of their own. They portray as fast food but only in the diner sense. It's got an extensive menu but also sticks to the classics. They have real milk shakes. Amazing background music and some of the best and friendly people from da island. The owner Henry is an amazing guy with a passion for food and people. Teddies Is a Lahaina Gem and should be put on the Map as a tourist destination. Jasmin the cashier very knowledgeable and courteous, Amika I think the managers name was very professional and reached out to greet us as well as others customers which you will never see in a fast food joint. This may smell like fast kine food but it's a got old school diner feel with beach boys playing in the background it takes me back home to Cali. If Sonic's ans in and Out had a baby they would make a Teddies. All they need is the skates . I feel like I've been in love with the wrong burger joints all my life.
