La Cabana Express — Restaurant in Helen

terrible place Yesterday , I went to Helen with the whole family. We were having such a nice day tubing. We decided to stop at La Cabana Express to get some Mexican food. While we waited to be seated this worker came out & said that we needed to be well dressed to eat here. She was very rude to us. Also she was laughing at my family. I felt so embarrassed in front of many people. Just because my three nieces were wearing bathing suit and my nephew was not wearing a shirt. Yes, my nephew should of been wearing a shirt, but the lady should of been nice. Down the street there was another place La Cabana where we were able to eat outside. First, it tOOK so long to get our food. The waiter did a terrible job getting our orders & forgetting most of the order. The food didn't taste good at all. The worst...

Waited outside for an hour but it was a super crowded weekend. The table that came in after us had drinks, chips, and dip before they even took our drink order. Once we got our chips and salsa and tried them it was very good along with the cheese dip ( best I ever had). They gave us our check and looked at us like they wanted us to go ahead and pay to open up a table but we had not even got our food yet! Once we got our food it was very good but we never got the sauces we ask for to go with our meal. We left tip on the table and they quickly got it and went in the back before we realized they added the tip on our bill and would not take it off even though we left it on the table. The bathroom was nasty with blood all over the clean toliet paper! They are to many good restraunts in the area...

BEWARE, not a good place for vegetarians. They will not modify anything on their menu to accommodate vegetarians. The server was flustered when we asked for bean tacos. She did not want to modify anything, even on kids menu for my son on his birthday. We asked if we could talk to supervisor/manager, again the server was flustered and had visible dislike on her face. Of course,the manager did not come to talk, even though she was right behind the counter and looking at us. The server came back and reiterated that they have what they have on the menu and will not modify anything to accommodate vegetarians. So, since we did not want our child to be in tears on their birthday, we ate very minimum, non modifiable meals. What a shame, a Mexican restaurant can not even...
