Alpine Wedding Chapel — Attraction in Helen

Pros: 1.Nice photographer 2.Good food 3.Flexible payment 4.Received video of ceremony & dances the same day 5.Received wedding pictures the same day Explanations: 1.The photographer was friendly & directed the photos well. 2.There was only finger food but it was good & the cake was delicious. 3.They accepted cash, checks, & cards. The chapel also allowed me to pay my remainder balance the day of my wedding. 4./5.The chapel provided my husband & I with 2 discs that had a video of our ceremony & dances on one & our wedding pictures on another one. Cons: 1.No wedding rehearsal 2.Out dated video recorder 3.Bad communication 4.Poor coordination 5.No place for gifts 6.Not enough sitting areas. 7.No tables to eat the food at. 8.Hassel to have the song we wanted & out dated CD player 9.Did not get to cut our wedding cake 10.RUDE MINISTER Explanations: 1.The chapel did not hold a wedding rehearsal. So therefore, the staff informed everyone important information before or during the wedding. They also directed orders towards my husband & I during our wedding, which was also captured on our ceremony video. 2.The chapel had an out of date video recorder mounded on the wall to video tape our ceremony. The video quality was horrible. Everyone's face that appeared in the video was not clear & blurry. You couldn't hear my husband & I say our vows, even though we were told there would be a mic to pick up our voices for the video. The video was also taped through a fish eye view. 3.The staff did not communicate well. For instance, after my husband & I walked down the aisle after our ceremony & our guests followed us out the minister tells all the guests to sit back down while the photographer takes pictures. To minimize chaos and disorder, he should of announced those instructions as my husband & I walked down the aisle. 4.The staff had our guests stay in the chapel while the photographer took pictures, which felt very awkward. For better coordination, the staff should of directed all of the guests, with the exception of guests to be in the photos, across the street to the reception room to snack on the finger food they provided. 5.The staff did not have an area for our gifts. Instead, our guests had to wait after the wedding to hand our gifts to us at our car. I would imagen this would not be ideal for a bride and groom that rented a horse and carriage to take off in. 6.Majority of our guests had to stand the whole entire time during our reception due to very little chairs provided for sitting. 7.The staff provide some stands with trays placed on top for everyone to place their plates and drinks on. However, there was not enough stands for everyone to use. 8.The chapel did not have our song we wanted to dance to & we asked if we could bring a CD. The staff would not allow it until I pointed out that this was our wedding we were paying for. We purchased a brand new CD for us to dance our first dance to. When the staff played our CD, our song skipped twice in the beginning & one of the staff members told us it was because their CD player was old. 9.When the minister directed my husband & I to cut the cake, he cut into our wedding cake instead of letting us do it. My husband asked "So I guess we aren't allowed to cut our own wedding cake?" and the minister replied "No". The minister then cut 2 pieces of cake to hand to us to feed to each other. When he cut off the icing my husband said "I kind of wanted the icing so I could shove it in my bride's face" and the minister replied "That's too much to clean up". 10.Overall the minister was very rude. There was a conflict about having my flower girl pulled down the aisle in a wagon. He called my wagon a paraphernalia, but eventually allowed me to have it as long as someone carried it out. However, before my ceremony he made a RUDE announcement to all my guests about the wagon. The professional thing would of been for him to keep that between my husband & I instead of bringing up unnecessary drama, which they had no clue about,...

Can't recommend this place enough. We had a private intimate wedding in the garden room with just the two of us and they made our special day so perfect. Mr. Eddie conducted a beautiful ceremony and his wife Mrs. Lisa took lots of amazing pictures for us to look back on forever. She captured all the perfect moments during the ceremony like the exchanging of rings and the kiss. Neither of our parents could make it, but the photo session we had afterwards felt less like a time crunched professional photographer and more like a mother putting care and love into making sure we had plenty of memories of our day, and the photos turned out beautifully. It was so wholesome. We couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. They honestly exceeded all of our expectations. They also provided a sweet home video style recording of the ceremony that we absolutely love and can't wait to be able to show to our children one day. Whether you are having a private elopement or a larger wedding with more guests and attendants we would recommend this place any day. They have multiple beautiful locations on site to chose from for the ceremony, all of which are equally charming. They truly made it a day to remember. Does NOT DESERVE 1 star but had to so I could post a review .... DO NOT USE ALPINE WEDDING CHAPEL!! This place and the people that run it ruined my wife's day (mine as well) she cried the entire ceremony over how the owner/minister spoke to her, her mother, and about our 3 year old son. THIS WAS HER DAY AND NOT HIS But he robbed her of that. She wanted to walk out and the only reason we didn't is because they would not refund our money. It was honestly the worst 45 mins of our lives and she will never get that day back. I don't know how people like him sleep at night. Now my wife (homemaker) is dedicating her days and nights to make complaints, reviews, and talk to anyone about how to get this out there. Don't just take my word for it , go to Yelp, insider pages , wedding review board and any other review spot where they have been mentioned and you will clearly see he has done this to almost everyone.
