Very clean and updated large room, but tiny bathroom. The outside needs a little TLC to brighten it up some. Parking is a little tight. However, the owner owns the parking lot across the street, just a short walk. ||||Everyone was super nice, including the owner. We saw him a couple of times at the charge parking lot. ||||A beautiful and convenient location. They have a lovely beach area with several swings. It is the end of the road, so there is no traffic coming by. It is a very short walk, about a block and a half to Main St. Excellent for coming in and out.||||The river view can only be seen from outside your door or standing at the window. The river really cannot be seen otherwise. There is not a balcony or deck in the motel rooms. It is your traditional motel room with one door. The cabins seem to have a much better view. They are sitting next to the river. The motel is L shaped. There is a parking lot or two between you and the river, depending on which section you are staying. ||||We stayed on the first floor for health reasons. There is no ground level. If you have real issues with walking or in a wheel chair, I'm not sure I would recommend you stay here. The handicap ramp is very steep. It is a set of cement covered steps. ||||My only negative thing is it is loud, and there are lots of dogs. If you don't like dogs, this is not the place for you. It was quiet at night when we went to bed. It was only when folks started getting up that it got loud. The dogs didn't seem to bark until morning either. ||||The folks over top of us were probably not unusually loud. The floors are not carpeted, which I love. However, that makes for more noise. When they were up we knew it. We could hear every step they made. I don't think they were stomping, but it sure sounded like it. There was no sleeping after they got up. We did not hear anyone on either side of us. We did not see anyone staying in the rooms next to us so that might be why we didn't hear anything. We have a sleep machine. I highly recommend one to block out some of the noise unless you are early to rise. My recommendation is to stay on the top floor if you can walk up a couple of flights of stairs because there would be no overhead noise.||||They have a well stocked continental breakfast available until 10:00 am. As good or not better than I have ever seen. They have a few varieties of Otis Spunkmeyer muffins, breakfast bars, apples, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, milk, and coffee (no decaf, got to make it in your room.) They even have warm sausage and egg breakfast sandwiches. You have to ask for those. You can get you something tasty to eat for breakfast and eat a nice lunch and dinner out. ||||I enjoyed my stay. However, if I go back I will check into different locations. I may end up staying here again. I recommend staying downtown where you can just walk out of your room to wherever you want to shop or eat. The location is...

Read moreSHOCKING PLACE. My husband and I booked this place for our very special Anniversary. The pictures for the hotel in online looked very good, and we booked King room with river view. After 14h travel with our car, we arrived at 10pm, paid and perceived to our room. Like someone in the back of my mind encouraged me... I check the room, while my husband was bringing in our stuff from the car. I discovered right away that hair dryer electrical outlet is broken, I called the front desk girl and she was very kind and brought for us another one. Everywhere was a dust... on a ceiling fan, on a TV, on a mirrors... veneer was peeling off the furniture, the floor tile was peeling off as well. Fire alarm was almost falling off the ceiling and covered with a dust and some kind of tape, same as the bathroom fan grill - completely obstructed with dust.... The toilet seat cover was almost falling off... we tighten up the screws, because to sit on it was not possible. The toilet paper was about 1/3 of the original size... it means... left overs from the previous occupants (which is full with germs). After that I looked in the shower.... there was NO SHOWER HEAD... just a piece of a pipe was sticking out of the wall. We called the front desk again. She came and said that she will check other rooms, because she is not sure... maybe that's how it's supposed to be. Couple minutes later she told us, that maintenance guy is on the way. He came about 10 min later... loocked on it and said.... that's the new... "massage" shower style... to what my husband said... "what do you talking about! It's just like to shower with a hose!"... The guy promised to bring shower head and left. (+10 min)... came back with some big pipe wrench ... it was too big, he left again. (+ x min), came back with another "tool"... perceived to repair.... and the pipe broke... in the wall. He said... that he will need more time(!!!!)... left and came back for couple times more and when came back start to tell how good the other rooms are, and that tomorrow (next day!!!!) he will move us to another room. Comes out, that the maintenance guy probably was the owner of the place. He left again for something... and we decided that this will not work for us.... we were so tired and already close to 2 hours in this nightmare. We took our stuff back to car and when the owner came back... we told him that we are leaving and we want our money back. He said... that he has the lowest prices in the town. ($445 for 5 days). We left and in a spot got super nice, clean, and beautiful room and saved $60 ! Pictures in attachment will speak volumes.... Judge for yourself. This place is NO GOOD! PS: Over night somebody have deleted ALL of my proof providing photos. Nice. You can delete the pictures... but you can't make me to believe in your place!...
