I recently had an incredibly disappointing visit to Helen, GA Wendy's. I would leave zero stars if I could. Unfortunately, it was far from the satisfying fast food experience I had hoped for. First and foremost, the ongoing issue that struck me was the consistently closed drive-through. It seemed like no matter what time of day I visited, the drive-through was perpetually shut down. As someone who works in Helen, I appreciate the convenience of grabbing a quick meal on the go, so this was a major letdown, especially considering the fact that they are the only fast food restaurant in town, and they’re never even busy! It left me wondering why the drive-through even exists if it's rarely operational. Now, let's talk about the food. Every single time I've ordered from this Wendy's, without fail, the food arrives cold. Whether it's the fries, burgers, or chicken nuggets, the temperature seems to be nowhere near what it should be. It's disheartening to bite into a lukewarm burger that lacks that mouthwatering, fresh-off-the-grill sizzle, especially when I have to wait 10+ minutes for it, because they ran out and had to “make it fresh”. Cold food just doesn't cut it when you're craving a hot, satisfying meal. To make matters worse, the dining area and bathrooms were in a sorry state. The tables were sticky, the floors were littered with crumbs, and the overall cleanliness was subpar. It's hard to enjoy a meal when you're surrounded by an untidy environment. Additionally, the bathrooms were far from being up to standard, with uncleaned toilets, empty soap dispensers, and an overall lack of maintenance. It left me feeling uneasy and questioning the restaurant's commitment to providing a pleasant dining experience. I must express my disappointment with Wendy's as a whole. The consistently closed drive-through, coupled with the issue of cold food and the unclean dining area and bathrooms, have left me with a negative impression. As a loyal customer, I expected better. It's disheartening to witness such a decline in quality and attention to detail. I sincerely hope that Wendy's and the Calhoun Franchise takes note of these concerns and works towards improving their operations, ensuring that customers receive the experience they deserve. Fast food should be both convenient and enjoyable, but unfortunately, my recent experiences at this particular Wendy's fell far short of those...
Read moreOrdered at drive-thru. Employees were very accommodating. The food...TERRIBLE! Two Dave's Double sandwiches and one large fry, $19. 😳 First, it was sent out as single burgers. Not what I ordered. But, they were very gracious and accommodating by taking the sandwiches back into the restaurant and slapping another patty on them, fingering through the sandwiches, and handed them back to me. Thought that was against health department rules or something. Anyway, when I got home with the food, it was cold, colder than a normal trip from town to home would make it. Open the sandwiches and realized they had two patties on them after all, only now they had 3 patties. The patties were so small and thin that I didn't even detect two patties to start. Again, 😳. They were like the patties from a small $1 burger in a kid's meal or something. Anyway, definitely not worth $7.19 each, just sandwich price. It makes me angry when I'm hungry and I spend my last $20 on crap like this, having no choice because range is currently on the brink. What the crap? Seems like this kind of thing is happening more and more these days. A lack of staff/help is no excuse for that...
Read moreTerrible experience tonight. We usually stop in every Wednesday night after our church services for coffee, a frosty and chili. The staff is usually pretty friendly but that is not the problem. It seems to me the staff is way more interested in cleaning up and getting ready to shut things down than taking care of the customers. Tonight I asked for coffee. It was obvious the coffee had been sitting there for awhile. I took it anyway but when I got to my seat I just couldn't tolerate it. I asked for some fresh. After a while I went back to the counter to see what was going on and the young lady (a different young lady than who had originally helped me) said "yes, she made some more coffee; however, it was very obvious to me she had not. The coffee was the same level as before in the pot and when she poured it for me, I could smell the burnt smell it gets when it sits too long. I didn't even both to go back. In fact, my family and my four friends will probably not go there any more. Too bad you will lose our business because we are good customers and regular customers, and we live here. We are...
