I had a coupon for a free happy meal with the purchase of a combo went thru the drive thru and informed the lady as I was ordering about the coupon and proceeded to order our food i wasn't given a total at the order screen was told she will have my total at the window so I pulled around to the window but being I had guests in the car with me I haven't seen in a while and we were talking I wasn't really paying attention to what she said my total was I just gave her my card and continued talking wen I was given my card and receipt I noticed that I had paid alot more than I'd anticipated since the happy meal was free supposedly so I asked the cashier about why I was charged for the happy meal she replied that I should have reminded her about the coupon beven and tho I'd already told her about it& there was nothing she could do anymore since I'd already paida next time I need to remind them again before I pay to redeem the coupon she basically told me that it was my fault that she forgot about the coupon I'd told her about and I was responsible for paying for an item I wasn't supposed to all bc she wasn't able to correctly do her job all she had to do was apologize fr her error and either just take off the happy meal charge or maybe even cancel the whole order then re-ring it up again correctly this time I'm sure it is done all the time however they instead decided to tell me that it was my fault she rang my order up wrong and there wasn't anything she could do in order to rectify the error she had made and next time I need to remind them about my coupon despite having already informed them about it before I ordered so how many times am I supposed to say that I've got a coupon in order for them to actually credit it now with all that being said I understand how it may have slipped her mind when I ordered but what upsets me and blew me away was after I'd brought the issue up to both the cashier as well as their lil assistant manager they really tried to say that it was my fault that she charged me for something she shouldn't have thereby overcharging me then upon realizing I'd paid for something I shouldn't have rather than attempting to rectify the situation I was told there wasn't anything they could do and I am the one who needed to pay more attention next time to ensure this doesn't happen next time also. I have never encountered anyone who worked in customer service that was as rude as either the cashier as well as their assistant manager who echoed wat the cashier had said. I'm sure they both wonder why they are still having to work for just minimum wage at their ages but this is exactly why if someone is unable to handle a little simple multitasking by ringing orders into a comp along with remembering what the customers ordered long enough to get it rung up in the correct manner then they really need to rethink whether or not a McDonald's cashier position is even something they should continue to pursue. There are many other menial jobs out there they could do that wouldn't have an effect on other people. All I can say for certain tho is that customer service is not suited for their of those two women last nite the two of them combined to make it the single worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant of any kind I'm my close to 40 yrs in this world and I have had a few atrocities in the past but the absolute refusal of these two to rectify the mistake made by the cashier coupled with then attempting to claim that, in fact, it was I who made the mistake bc I didn't repeat that I had a coupon numerous times is mind boggling. I informed her of the coupon at the beginning of my order how many more times am I supposed to tell her about it? If you don't want to experience anything such as being told it's your fault that their employee can not do the simplest of jobs correctly and end up paying for stuff you shouldn't be paying for then stay way from here or else it'll likely happen to you as well. If there was a negative star I could give I absolutely would bc they don't even...
Read moreI live in Hemet, so it bothers me to say that I will never visit this McDonald's again. I'll try to make this review as short as possible, but everything always seems to go wrong at this location. I took my wife out to a movie, and since this McDonald's is near by, figured we'd get a quick meal before going home (even though we had said we would never come here again). Everything was going well (for once)... then it all started up. We placed our order, then took a window seat to wait. I took our cups to get sweet tea, but like the previous times, the tea was out. I let an employee know that it was empty, he just put his hand out and said "I'll just fill it for you". As we're sitting there, we started hearing yelling coming from outside, near the entrance door. Apparently, this McDonald's doubles as a homeless hangout. There was a group of about 6, that were coming in and out refilling the cups that they were grabbing out of the trash. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the homeless, everyone has rough times in life, but when you're trying to eat, and they're right outside the door/window spitting and blowing snot rockets... It's not the best thing. The reason this bothered, was because it seemed like a normal thing to the employees. No one said or did anything. I'm not saying they should have taken pitchforks and torches and ran out yelling, but at least a reminder that there is no loitering in front of the establishment. I'm sure they'll (employees) say they've tried doing what they can against that type of situation, but why not continue doing something about it? Anyway, it made it harder having a manager sitting next to us watching everything going on while she was on a break (I think it was break). She sat there talking to a friend, while trying to play the part of a manager. She was sitting there eating, talking, and at the same time asking other employees if they've taken there breaks yet. After what seemed to be an hour, I noticed an employee put a tray of food on the counter but did not call a number... After watching her talk to a male employee for 5min, and noticing that no one had gone to grab the tray, I decided to go investigate... and sure enough it was our food. When she saw me reaching for the tray, she gave me a look like I was being rude for interrupting her conversation... I didn't say anything, I just grabbed our food and went back to our seat. We were 2 bites into our burger, when my wife smacked her arm and said "there's ants in here"... and sure enough, there were ants on the table and wall. I mean, come on... McDonald's is cheap on the ketchup, and charges for bbq sauce,... but no bug spray?... and believe it or not, this wasn't even the worst part... the worst part came when we tried to eat our fries... yup, of course the fries had no salt. I'm guessing the ants ate it all. Took some funny video and pictures... At this rate, IHOB might actually have a chance... in case you're wondering, we were there for about 30 minutes, and no one filled the tea. Don't usually leave reviews, but this time was needed. I apologize if I threw anyone under the bus, but it...
Read moreThere was a one day deal on my phone for two 20 piece Chicken Nuggets for $5.00, so I drove a little more than a mile round trip. I went inside and told the guy behind the counter that I wanted to order the special deal on the chicken nuggets and told him it was two 20 piece chicken nuggets for $5.00. I was told I had to use the McDonalds app to order the special deal, so I opened the app and ordered, but it charged me $7.60 counting tax. I told him that was wrong, because the deal clearly said $5.00 for two 20 piece chicken nuggets, but now that it had been ordered, the special shown on my phone was no longer there. I spoke to the manager and he said there was nothing he could do. I said yes there was and that he could refund my money that had been taken from my bank account using the app. He said he could not cancel the order and refund the money to my account, so I said: In that case, just refund me the difference in cash and he refused. Now I'll have to call my bank tomorrow to dispute the transaction. I will never go to that McDonalds again, even if I have to drive a few more miles to get to a different location. I am also calling McDonalds corporate headquarters tomorrow to file a complaint about the problem and about the managers inability to take care of the problem right then and there. The managers name is Felipe Farah and is one of the worst managers I have ever had to deal with. The manager should have just given me the $2.16 difference, in the form of a cash refund and I would have left a satisfied customer, but I left without the food I had planned on eating that evening and I'm totally angry and I'm hoping McDonalds corporate headquarters chews the manager out and hopefully he...
