What a great little place! We found it when we were waiting for our table for 45 minutes at Mr. Kim's next door. A patron, who saw our group standing in front of the window looking at the menu said "this is the best place in town! You won't go wrong eating here." We told him we were waiting for our table next door. We hadn't seen this restaurant on our previous visit, but now we would come back to check it out. I ended up going inside to get a menu. She was expecting her menus from her printer in 2 days, so we took a picture of the menu and scanned the QR code and promise to be back. We told her we were dining next door and had been waiting for a table and didn't know she was here. I told her we were visiting there for my son's birthday who would wanted to go to Korean barbecue. She asked if it was good and we said yes. She gave us some sweet corn crackers to give to my son for his birthday. That was so sweet! We promised her we would be back. We visited two weekends later and their menus were in so we took one to have at home. My husband and I ordered our food and dined in and then we ordered our to go food to bring home to our kids. We were very impressed by the food, and the service was exceptional! The food that we brought home to the kids, they thoroughly enjoyed. It's a small place, and those tend to be the best! We could tell they are much loved by their community, as we were sitting there and multiple people came in to dine as well as pick up food to take out. She seemed to know all of them as regulars! I love that! We live in a small town in the Moapa Valley, and often come to Henderson to do our big shopping the lake route. We used to have a Chinese restaurant in our town that was exceptional. She knew everybody too! Unfortunately she moved to Las Vegas because her husband worked in the casino restaurant as a chef and after many many years they decided to relocate there. To our other disappointment! We have been searching for another Chinese restaurant that showed the same love and care and they're cooking as well as love of their customers. This one seems to have all of the boxes checked. The locals for sure love this place! So I'd say we found the right place too! You can't go wrong dining here. It's got a great menu with lots of selection. There are different combination plates and lunch plates and chef's special plates to choose from as well as a variety of other items. The prices are very reasonable. Can't wait to go back and try...
Read moreThis is my second time trying this place in 2 years. Once again I got chicken fried rice. And once again it is absolute garbage. It has no flavor, just a ton of sodium. Very little chicken, very little carrots or peas more onions of course. It's not just bad it's just disgusting! It's a mom and pop place I wanted to give them a second chance. I even told them about my first experience. The lady who brought the food out was nice, and she wanted me to try it before I left. Which I wasn't going to do that was silly. Well, I guess not really silly because their food is just horrible! The chicken that is contained in the meal is dry. Has a nasty flavor to it. I mean, the worst fried rice I've ever had. I hate to say that about any mom and pop, but I will never come back here again and will never come close to recommending it. If they had good food, I'd be there twice a week. But trust the reviews you see on here. The quality is really poor.
One more thing. When any restaurant on the bottom of the receipt has to actually put on the receipt all transactions are final. No refund. That should be a big red flag.
Another red flag should have been when I walked in and nobody else was there at 5:00 p.m. on a Friday night. And but it's my left only one person that come in.
I think it's time to close up or get a new owner. One that actually knows how to prepare Chinese food correctly. And is willing to actually put some protein in...
Read moreI wanted to give this place a shot, despite the bad reviews. I wanted to judge for myself. But I see now why this place has such low ratings. The food tastes bad and they’re stingy with the portions. For the lunch special, the website said it came with rice and noodles, but it only comes with rice. The fried rice was bland and salty; it just tasted like white rice drenched in soy sauce, and nothing else. The honey walnut shrimp I got was fishy, and they only gave me 6 pieces of shrimp. The teriyaki chicken sticks weren’t teriyaki at all; they were curry flavored. The lady worker was really friendly though, and was the...
