I called to place an order for pick up at Sunset location in Henderson, NV. The store was about to close in 5 minutes and I didn’t want to walk in without first having placed my order because I did not want to hold up the employees and delay them from leaving on time. I literally live less than 3 minutes from the location. When I called to place an order, a woman named Karen answered the phone. I asked if I could place an order for pickup. She tells me no because they are closing soon. I asked her if I came in would I be able to order. She said if I can be there in two minutes then I could. Like I said, I live near by and so I said I could. She replays “no you cant”, and began to speak to me in a belittling manner. I asked her not to patronize me and then she hung up in my face. I recognize that trying to call in a late order is inconvenient. I work late and my schedule doesn’t always allow me the ability to order food when it is convenient. I love the subs at Firehouse, and generally have a good experience. However, this was an example of exactly how to NOT treat your customers and definitely something I will factor in when deciding where to spend my money at in the future. Got there a few minutes early and was told that they were still working on my Hot Pastrami. 20 minutes later the manager on duty, Jennalynn, walked past me, stopped and said "you're still here? Your sandwich was done awhile ago." So my HOT pastrami sandwich sat for 20 minutes... I asked if they were giving me a cold HOT sandwich and I was told that "it has been sitting next to where we keep the meatballs, it's still hot." Well, no it was not. I called from my car, on the way back to work, and spoke with the manager. It wasn't until I left that they offered to remake the sandwich. Or I could save my receipt and they would remake it at a leter date. IF I EVER GO BACK that is... Should have offered to remake while I was still there, just saying. The sandwiches (at this location) are always made the way advertised, literally picture perfect with quality taste. This establishment was clean and everytime we frequent this location it's clean! My wife and I have been to two other locations and they've been dirty, unkind, and on more then three times at each different location, they've insistently taken and made our orders incorrectly. One location even charged my card 50 dollars (Eastern Ave) on a 10 dollar order, it's been resolved since, but that kind of mistake shouldn't happen, we've stopped going to those two locations and have committed to only this one because they really are a model location.
