Good food, terrible management. Steak was way overcooked (gray throughout when ordered medium rare). The waiter took one look at it, apologized profusely and went back to get us another without us saying a word about it. It came about 40 min later, so we just took it to go and didn’t complain because we understand that mistakes happen and the person that ordered it didn’t want to be the only one eating. When we checked out, the waiter accidentally brought us the wrong bill on the mobile check out unit, but it was close enough in amount that we didn’t even notice. Soon after, the manager came out and scolded us for having an outstanding balance. She didn’t introduce herself or explain the situation, just told us we still had a balance due. We were confused because we were getting ready to leave and had just paid and tipped, but were willing to pay the $30 difference no problem. However, the manager’s attitude towards us was incredibly rude and arrogant and she ultimately attacked us for a mistake that her team made. We paid the difference without argument, but the manager still made a snark remark saying “well it’s not my fault you got the wrong bill.” Well actually, yes it is. It’s solely your fault as the leader on duty. Your employee brought it to us and accepted the payment. She also said “we’ve already comped a lot off your bill so we can’t do anything more” which we never once asked for. The waiter was behind her and looked mortified at the way she was handling this. The steak was wrong and we didn’t complain, and they took it off the bill on their own (which was the right thing to do). The wrong check came (with a measly $30 difference), we paid it, and then were made to feel like it was something we had intentionally done on our own. So, because of a $30 difference and the least customer-centric attitude of a manager that any of us have ever seen, this restaurant lost future business from a company based in the same shopping plaza. We calmly explained all of this to her and NOT ONCE did she utter the words “I’m sorry.” The fact that she would try to blame us for their (multiple) mistakes even when the waiter said it was his fault, and then take no accountability over the matter was so unprofessional and caused us to have a terrible experience. Won’t be returning to this location until management issues...
Read moreOur first experience and most likely our last, and it's a shame, I thought it was going to be a good experience, it was such a cool atmosphere!
Our experience started off strong, we were sat quickly in 5 minutes on a Saturday night. Server was pleasant and took our order. I ordered the Bison burger with No onions and no mayonnaise and a side of fruit, and my wife ordered the teriyaki bowl.
Our food came out to my surprise, fruit, was a slice of watermelon, (really, watermelon? shame on me for not clarifying) and sure enough, my bison burger was covered with mayonnaise and onions despite requesting neither. I asked the server to fix it, and this is where it goes off the rails....
My wife had her food, she waited a bit to start eating, she did not want to eat without me... after 5 minutes, I told her to go ahead and eat, I did not want her food to get cold.
Servers walked back and forth and never stopped and check on us... at the 15 minute mark, my wife was almost done with her meal, I flagged down a server and asked about my burger. "Oh I am so sorry, let me check on that for you.". Another 10 minutes goes by, my wife is completely done with her meal and they finally bring me my "corrected burger," which happens to be about half the size of the first burger I received. 10 Seconds later she turns around and puts the machine on our table for me to pay our bill, zero give a crap about my experience.
The server could see that I was not happy when she put the bill down on our table, and she said let me go talk to the manager to see what I can do. She came back with a little card for a free appetizer on my next visit. I chuckled and laughed that they thought I was coming back after this experience. Manager NEVER came to the table to apologize for their failure.
Next I go to pay, and our bill is way too high, They charged me for (2) bison burgers. I flagged the server down and asked why I was being charged for two, and she was surprised and said let me see if I can get that removed.
Finally, our bill was right, paid my bill and at the end of payment I was offered a free appetizer on my next visit, apparently its offered to everyone. So their little "were sorry" free appetizer card lost any credibility that it had...
It will take a while for me to forget this experience and want to go back...
Read moreLet me start off by saying that the food here is ok. But you CAN tell the difference between the old cooks who have been here since they opened and the new people that they’ve been hiring. I spoke to my server about consistency and I met someone at a bar who used to work here and we started talking. I ended up hearing about the practices that management and the people in charge do and it left me with my mouth wide open. I couldn’t believe the amount of preferential treatment of the managers “friends” and the “normal”employees. It is insane how they are allowed to continue to do this and even run this establishment, I was shown screenshots and proof of sexual harassment, write-ups for minimal things, and just retaliation for not doing what they want. Some of the things that I was shown is clearly illegal, like two of the kitchen managers trying to get cooks and servers to “spend the night” with them and when staff complained nothing was done. Eventually after so many complaints they ended up transferring both to other locations but they were never fired. I was also shown a video of another manager going into the backseat of a vehicle with a male server at night during their shift. There’s a lot of weird things going on here, I was given the phone number of one of the cooks in the back who has had issues with hours being cut after bring some stuff up along with a few other individuals and I’m looking to compile a post on my website with all the screenshots I got emailed. Apparently they’re just fed up with these things and are ready to talk to people that isn’t H.R since they seem to only want to protect the company and the people in management and not the lower employees. This is out of line and I don’t see how this place will succeed with people like...
