Man , I hate to say this but burgers were Super subpar. 5 guys has always been my go to for the perfect burger fix ..I'd say usually ordering from here just once every 3-4 months. So it was just extra disappointing as I bit into my skinny, dry bacon cheeseburger. They used to put real(fresh cooked, thick and quality) bacon on the burgers but I was shocked to see 2 tiny pieces of those whimpy precooked microwavable bacon strips tucked in. I count on these burgers to hit the spot but this time they missed the mark. Fries were great as always and the girl at the cashier was so sweet and kind as I was short $7 on the total owed .had ordered food for the whole family to take home to them. She quickly offered to cover the rest as I digged around for another credit card to use. She paid the $7 out of her own pocket and just thought that was so generous and wonderful. Thank you Ava , I appreciate you! (I think that was her name 🙂) Unfortunately I do think BurgerFi has taken over the crown to satisfy my burger cravings from...
Read moreI've eaten at other Five Guys before, so I was very excited to see one open in Hendersonville. Maybe my expectations were a bit high, but I left slightly disappointed.
If you're not familiar with Five Guys, the portions are rather large. 2 can easily get a small burger each and share 1 order of fries, and leave miserably full. No problem there. They also have the Coke freestyle machines, so it's always fun to watch people try to figure those out :)
The burgers were good as always, but the fries were a huge letdown. For a place with "fries" in the name, you expect good fries, you know? We decided to try the Cajun fries for the first time. They were very soggy, and the seasoning was not applied uniformly at all. One fry would have Cajun powder caked on, the next would be plain.
Maybe I've been spoiled by other places, but if you're in Hendersonville and want a good burger joint, do yourself a favor and seek out Jumbo & Delicious. You'll get more food for less, and that place hasn't let...
Read moreCheeseburger Day, expecting to celebrate the holiday with a deal. Nobody on staff even knew it was National Cheeseburger Day. When I asked about a discount, no one could answer me.
I asked if Five Guys had an app, and the employees said they didn’t know. The manager finally came out, but he wasn’t helpful either. He told me there was an app, but didn’t seem familiar with it, and when I asked how to get the promo code, he said, “I’m not sure, maybe they email it to you.”
So here I am, in a hamburger restaurant on National Cheeseburger Day, and not a single person knew about the promotion. I walked away paying full price for my burger, which honestly defeats the whole purpose of the holiday.
If your staff doesn’t even know about your promotions, or how your app works, that’s a problem. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t...
