Ill start by saying, I'm half Asian and I grew up on oriental food and hibachi restaurants. The custom service was very fast and friendly.
The food was just plain not good. The crab Rangoon was decent. My wife and I would eat it again. The rice that comes with the hibachi meals tasted like they browned butter up in a pan, put the rice in for a few mins and served it. There was zero flavor in the rice. No soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, Sesame oil, salt, pepper, nothing, there wasn't even egg in the rice. There is always egg in hibachi rice. The shrimp was ok, I wouldn't eat it again but it wasn't terrible. My wife got the teriyaki chicken hibachi. The chicken had a weird taste and was very gummy/chewy. She couldn't eat more then 4 pieces of it. I tried one and was not a fan that all. Her rice was the same way as mine. We both asked for no vegetables because we don't eat a lot of vegetables. My wife did ask for broccoli, she said it was good. Even replacing all of the other vegetables with just broccoli, they charged $2. That was steep for a few pieces of broccoli and that replaced all of the other vegetables. That was fine though, not a big deal.
Neither of us like adding a lot of sauces to our food because we're not big on condiments, but we both tried to add the entire dish of yum yum sauce to our rice to give it some type of flavor but it didn't help at all.
My wife ended up leaving nearly an entire plate of food and I left most of my rice. I ate the shrimp because it was good enough to eat once.
The entire meal was $40 for subpar food. Way over priced for the food quality.
The staff friendly, but we won't...
Read moreOrdered medium rare hibachi filet and a sweet tea. My food hit the table so fast I was confused lol. My medium rare was almost blue rare however, so i asked for another 25 seconds or so on the grill, they quickly took it back and added some extra steak and recooked it. All of it came back absolutely perfect and exceptionally tasty! Exactly what I wanted when I think hibachi filet.
Store was clean and tidy. Server was prompt and professional. Prices were a little high, but within reason to comparable restaurants.
Losing a star for sweet tea being unsweet with sweetener added on demand (add your sugar while it's hot, much better product), though it did taste fresh brewed.
Losing a star for bland yumyum and fried rice. Little more sweet and tangy in that yumyum, little more umami in that rice please.
Bonus star for outstanding service. Everyone makes mistakes, but not everyone tries as hard to make it right. Bonus steak, perfect refire, and even the cook coming out to make sure everything was good made me feel like they cared about their customer. I will return.. maybe ask for spicy rice next time 😁
Update; rice, yumyum and sweet tea have much improved! Portions still feel small,...
Read moreThe food is absolutely phenomenal! However, they need a larger space for how popular they are. There is no waiting area and The seating arrangements cater to small groups only. The evening hostess on 11\10 didn't know how to handle a party of 6 and kept seating smaller parties at any open table instead of saving 2 tables to be pushed together. Also, the prices keep increasing (I know they recently increased some portion sizes, but not all) to where the cost of one plate (meat, veg, rice) is now the same price as most Hibachi places that also include soup, salad, another side, plus the cooking show. I just want a steadily priced menu that is kept up to...
