Cute downtown greasy diner. Shocked by all the up charges we were not informed about while ordering. The server even asked us which sides we wanted, which toppings, etc. but didn't inform us that each would cost $2-3. One person from our group ordered the pastrami w/o cheese but it came with cheese anyway so she had to send it back. When it arrived the 2nd time, she noticed there was no brown mustard (which it comes with). When we asked the server to bring a side of mustard, we learned that they ran out, but again, not informed while ordering. We love supporting local businesses, esp after the recent hurricane, but I don't think we'll come back to Mike's on main. There are so many other great locally owned spots we'd rather support after this experience. (Note we split the check, but had 8 people in our party - 5 adults & 3 kids - which cost $200 for lunch at a "cheap" greasy diner.)

Definitely outdated (I know it is vintage based) by outdated, I mean the tables are quite wobbly, decor is filthy, floors could be a bit better maintained. Now, the service was amazing, so VERY welcoming and super fast. Very prompt with food delivery, drink refills, and to go box. The service was just great. The food tasted fresh and flavorful. Great first time experience, we would go back. I ordered the ham and cheese omelet with potatoes and biscuits. Hubby ordered a bacon and cheese omelet with potatoes(with peppers and onions) and white toast. The bill was about $27 total. We both had drinks as well.

One of the loveliest meals I've had in a while! Sat outside but the interior is an amazing vintage soda shoppe. Our server was so friendly and offered my friend a sample of a cheese before she ordered it on her sandwich. THE BEST CHICKEN TENDERS AND FRIES BASKET I HAVE EVER HAD (and I order them often) Chicken tenders so thin and crispy. Fries so well seasoned, like elevated Mcdonald's fries. So fresh, too! And my diet coke with vanilla syrup from the soda fountain was an incredible co-star. So glad I visited!

I’m sad to write this review because this place holds cherished memories for me—I used to come here with my grandmother as a child. Unfortunately, the current management is nothing short of disappointing. My family and I visited during the Apple Festival, fully aware of the potential wait and stress. However, the unprofessional behavior we encountered was unacceptable.

When we arrived, we put our name on the waiting list and were called to the host stand as our table was being cleaned. The hostess then crossed out our name, and both she and another woman, whom I assume was the manager, went back into the restaurant. When the hostess returned, she asked for our name again. After I reminded her, she claimed we had missed our call, pointing to our crossed-out name. I explained that this wasn’t the case—she had just called us to let us know our table was nearly ready. It seemed like she finally remembered, but she said she couldn’t find the manager, who was supposed to handle our table.

After another ten minutes of waiting, they finally called us in. As we entered, the manager caused a scene about my sister-in-law bringing in my niece’s stroller, insisting it wasn’t allowed, even though we had just seen another family leave with one. She demanded we leave the stroller outside, unattended. After much back and forth, she grudgingly took the stroller to store it somewhere out of the way.

The service afterward was fine; our waitress was clearly stressed but still kind. However, when we were leaving, my husband asked the manager for the stroller, and she flatly denied ever handling it, acting hostile. After some insistence, she finally pointed to the stroller, which had been shoved into a corner. When my husband mentioned how unpleasant she had been, she sarcastically replied, “Yeah, well, you should spend a day in my shoes,” as we walked out.

I understand that running a business during a festival can be challenging, but the lack of organization, poor management, and bad attitudes were inexcusable. If you can’t handle the demands of the Apple Festival, don’t...

Had breakfast there and ordered 2 meals for take out, got home and realized they mixed up the take out order. Called them and was told it would be ready if I came back. I drove back into town to pick it up and they had it messed up again. At this point I told them I think I should get my money back or at least my tip back as they can’t seem to get an order right and I had to take 30 min to drive back and then still had to wait. Manager guy threw a handful of cash at me ( he literally grabbed cash from the drawer and threw it over the counter at me, then tried to grab it back from me) He was very aggressive, saying he was an ex cop and that they would call the police. I didn’t understand why he got so upset and tried to calm him down. He was calling me a fraud and threatening me when I left.

Food was average and the atmosphere was nice until I asked for them to correct my order and maybe comp me due to all the time and driving around I did to fix their mistake.

I would offer a word to the owners: maybe don’t hire insecure ex cops as management. Not...

I'm sad to give this cool looking place one star but when we sat down, no one at all came to our table. Not a single server even acknowledged that we were even there.

It didn't seem too busy, but what is really backing up my complaint is that the servers attended customers that walked in about 5-10 minutes after we sat down. I don't know if they had a reservation or something but I didn't appreciate the fact that no one even addressed us once and downright ignored us.

We aren't from around here as we are just on a vacation. I don't want to assume that they are biased against tourists but it's almost impossible to ignore that as a possiblity.

I hate giving places bad reviews but I simply cannot express any satisfaction with sitting around for 15 for literally nothing.

This restaurant seems like a really cool and a fun place to eat but we weren't able to enjoy that.

I'm willing to give this restaurant a better review but I won't be able to until I return again and get a...
