Update 05/29/25: Wife and I decided to try The Outback again. We sat at a table in the bar area. They were not very busy and things were going well-that is- until our food came out. My order was as I requested (steak was good), however, my wife's order was all wrong. Somehow the "runner" that brought it out grabbed the wrong plate, so we sent it back. Someone apparently took hers to someone else, so she had to re-order. I ate mine (and shared some w my wife) to keep it from getting cold. It took 20mins. to get her food; by then I was done. The waitress came over with the check and said "The manager took off a meal". (This is where it gets "funny") I looked at the check and the amount was far more than it should have been for "one steak" and a couple of drinks. Upon looking at the check, they had charged us for three steaks (the two we ate and the third we sent back). I spoke to the manager and he tried to explain that the third steak had to be charged to get it "into the system to be cooked, but that he took it off for us". I would have laughed if I wasn't so mad. They mess up our meal, my wife has to wait 20mins. And watch me eat, while they try to fix their mistake and the manager's idea of "making things right" is to "take off a meal"we didn't even order or eat?! He finally, reluctantly, took hers off as well. In short, there are other restaurants deserving of your "eating out" $, I suggest you consider those, as we surely will.
We chose to eat at the bar. Bartender ignored us a few time, i.e. after we were finished, it took her 15 minutes to give us our bill (and no, she wasn't busy). The Greenville location is better service wise Asked for med-well steak. Cane out mostly medium- I...

Read moreFather’s Day and we knew the restaurant would be busy, with call-ahead availability, we were seated a few minutes after we arrived. Cristy greeted us with a warm, upbeat welcome. Quickly brought us water and a warm loaf of bread. She took our order and continued to check on us through out. Any other items needed Cristy was quickly accommodating. I had the Bone in Ribeye and it was literally cooked to perfection-delicious. My husband had a sirloin and shrimp he said his dinner was good too. We skipped dessert (had special dessert waiting at home) Cristy had just the right amount of attentiveness we felt she appreciated us being there. Now my negative which did not effect me, still being in Mgmt. I was appalled to see tables large or small were not bused. Dirty dishes left on large table by us for at least 30-40mins. Really??? Runners bringing out food would just walk by the tables back to the kitchen empty handed. All staff should grab and take dishes back to the kitchen, work as a team and help each other. I am observed 2 girls and 1 man at the hostess station just talking….. 3 employees are not needed at a well run hostess station. The Mgr. I believe was checking/observing the dining room and I thought Yes he’s going to help bus tables….. Nope a customer inquired about something and he stopped and took up a conversation with the customer-15 mins. later I was leaving and he had just finished the BS conversation. This was a Sunday/Holiday and all staff should be busy and productive. Tables not turned is MONEY lost to the server’s and...
