I had a terrible experience yesterday 3-17-24 with my large family. We were sitting in the back room, and asked for permission to use an extra table to serve food for 13 children and 4 adults. There is NOT enough room for a table full of people (we were utilizing 2 tables), and a huge serving of food that comes to you on a massive platter (an upside down steel trash can lid) for the All American Feast (we ordered 2). We were told hastily that we'd need to be QUICK, because they needed the table for other patrons. Well, NOT even 5 minutes later the manager was on us again about HURRYING us up, as we were asking the children who wanted what and not even half way done with serving "in a nice tone, but still pushy". It was very upsetting to my mother, and she stated we'd never be back again. Then, after we were done serving everyone and situated, I took it upon myself, a 44 year old woman to take one of the empty "platters" to the back because assistance was NOT offered WHATSOEVER! We were only being rushed to get our food off the table behind us because they needed it A.S.A.P.! So, as I walked to the back of the establishment quickly I was hastily scolded by the assistant manager about walking to the back without having special shoes on. As opposed to kindly, and understandably with ALL those children (6) with disabilities might I add offer me a lick of help! She should have said, "Mam, I'm sorry but you can't walk back in here, it's dangerous let me help you with that...is there anything else we can grab for you and your party to make it easier and more pleasant experience for you?". Absolutely NOT!!! She was barking at me, and foaming at the mouth about never going back there again, because it was for employees only and I didn't have the slip proof shoes, blah, blah, blah, ect. My blood was boiling afterwards! I paid over 200.00 for the food and everyone's drinks including a generous tip to our young waitress. After we paid ALL staff were completely HANDS-OFF!! No one came to clean/clear up all the plates and clutter, and no clean plates were offered to us to cut my son's birthday cake which we had to put on the floor because of lack of space on the tables. Needless to say we packed up all our leftover food, children including a 2 week old baby, birthday cake, and sang/cut the cake in the privacy of our own home. The service was absolutely terrible, 😑 and hostile. Extremely dis-inviting!! I will never be back again, and Famous Dave's has been our "go to" for 10 plus years!!! I'm also calling the corporate office to file a formal complaint. They need to train and hire professional, and FRIENDLY staff! I, too, miss the older Famous Dave's on Canal Park. We never once had an issue there and were always treated kindly and...

We ordered food for pick-up. We got the all American feast which comes to about $85 in the hermantown, MN location. We are not exactly “wealthy people,” so this was really a treat for us. When we arrived home, we noticed the bone-in ribs were missing from our order. After calling, they asked if I wanted to speak to a manager, and I told them that I didn’t have to, but that I would like the food that I paid for. They agreed and said to come back, so I did. Once I arrived back at the restaurant, one of the owners was very rude and tried to call me a liar. He said that he has been working back on the line all night and there was no way that slipped by him. I didn’t know what to say. All I knew was that our bone in ribs were definitely not with our order. He then came back, threw ribs across the counter, and said, “here, but I know you’re not telling the truth, and we need your information to make sure you can’t pull this again.” He then walked away from me while I was still trying to have a conversation with him. I asked the girls working in the front how he can talk to people like that, and they shrugged and said, “he’s one of the owners.” My girlfriend then tried calling, and he wouldn’t even talk on the phone with her. But my girlfriend made 100% sure with a different employee on the phone that our order was made and paid for correctly. She then told them to look on their line cuz there should be an order of ribs floating around. They have everything go through a computer and those ribs were definitely put through and not delivered so they had to have popped up at some point. Obviously the overzealous, dishonest, arrogant, and money hungry owner would never admit it, but we hope that those ribs were left rotting on the line for him to notice at some point. This guy didn’t care who was around or anything. He acted like a spoiled selfish child who is definitely used to always having his way. Is customer service even a thing anymore?? The girl’s working there didn’t seem surprised at all… Like this was normal treatment of customers… like, I would understand if I had done this before and was trying it again, but this is the first time I’ve ever done this at any decent priced restaurant because usually mistakes like this don’t happen when you spend that...

My husband and I decided to take out because he did not want me to cook our Sunday dinner. After we got home, got into our pajamas, and sat down to eat, I noticed that I did not have the fries I had ordered to go along with my meal, and the chicken strips looked small and hard. I called the restaurant to inform them what I was missing my fries, and the chicken stripe did not look right, and I was returning. When I got to the restaurant, the young lady apologized, looked at my meal, noticed that I had not received fries, and informed me that they are going through a different distributor regarding the chicken stripes, I was okay with that. She was very friendly and told me that she would talk to the manager about any compensation because I had to drive back and ensure they would cook me some fresh food. I was only sitting for about five minutes, the Manager came out from the back, called my name with an attitude. When I walked up to the counter, he opened two containers to show that he put the fries and a couple of extra chicken strips in them, then closed them and walked away. I could only say Thank you because I did not want to cause a scene. He did not apologize; there was no compensation for driving back, and we paid $45 for our dinner. When I got back home, I was upset because the food was hard and cold. We had never had this type of experience with this restaurant, the Manager made it seem that I...

Not the same... I have enjoyed Famous Daves over the years when it was in Canal Park. We went to the new location for the first time right away, we were turned off by the atmosphere. It looked more uptown like and wide open. My family liked their food better than I liked mine. I ordered the two meat combo and my meats were rib tips and brisket. First of all, the sides were good. Nothing wrong with the sides, but the meat threw me off. The rib tips were tough but tasty. They should of been tender. The brisket was a letdown. They were tender but the texture was off and the meat was a bit brown with a thin layer of sauce on the slices. It feels that review is just somewhere stuck and I left disappointed. I guess I am use to seeing the decor and a low lighted atmosphere that had a good vibe in Canal Park, but this time, it was not there and the food was a letdown. I chose corn and the pineapple for my sides. The picture looks good, but the meat told me another story.

Visited Famous Dave's for the first time ever this Friday...it came down to a choice between this and Perkins..since we didn't want to take the bus all the way over there, we decided to try it out and boy were we delighted!!..it was a surreal experience!..The waitress suggested us to try this platter which had a little bit of everything..the taste was fantastic..tender ribs, succulent corn on the cob, their famous fries and amazing fresh oven baked corn bread muffin to top it off!..we certainly found a new place to come to for food and we'll make this one of those sinful pleasure places!😍😍😍😂😂

We went to Famous Dave's on Memorial Day and it was so yummy! Everything was delicious! We had the dinner for 2 with ribs, pulled pork, BBQ chicken, Cole slaw, BBQ beans, corn, corn bread, etc, etc. It was so good!!! Hannah, our server, was so fun and sat on the patio to enjoy the day. It was a wonderful experience. The margarita and corn bread ended up being my desert. Yum!! Update! I didn't realize that Famous Dave's had multiple locations. We are at the Branson, Missouri location on White River! It's just as amazing! Yummy!!
