Radici — Restaurant in Hermosa Beach

The service was awkward and super rushed! One staff member took my daughters utensils and glass while she was in the bathroom. Right away I tried to tell him but he was off like a flash. They would come check on us randomly but right after they asked if we were okay they shot off before we could speak. We had one waiter that said, “I guess I will be your waiter then” and half way through the meal another guy was serving us. It was very rushed and disappointing as the service can make or break an experience.

The atmosphere was nice, no complaints there. Not too quiet, not too loud.

The food was good. The bolognese was great. The spaghetti pomodoro was average at best. Needed more sauce. Asked for red pepper flakes and parm to help but they gave me very little and I couldn’t flag anyone down for more in their frantic running around. The penne with vodka sauce was really good too. The calamari was good but only 10 or 12 small pieces for something like $22. Did not seem to match the price.

Wanted to end the meal with a lemoncello, but I guess someone bought all of it and they were making a new batch that would take 3 weeks before it was ready.

With all of the reviews being so good I was disappointed. Maybe it was a bad night … I would’ve given 3.5 stars but that’s not an option and they didn’t earn a 4 star review from...

This was THE best Italian meal we've ever had! If you're looking for delicious, melt-in-your-mouth, authentic Italian - there is nowhere better than Radici. Seriously, this is the spot. From the minute we walked in, we were welcomed by the kindest hostess and grabbed a drink at the bar. The bartender was the best and his energy and happiness set the tone for the rest of the evening. We had the most beautifully crafted drinks (even if you don't like whiskey GET THE OLD FASHION) and then hopped on over to our cozy table overlooking the HB shops below. We started off with the garlic loaf, burrata, and meatballs. Words can't describe how incredible - our table was over the moon and we didn't even get to the main course yet! Accompanied with delicious red wine, our table was filled with dishes of gnocchi, Bolognese, cannelloni and the forks were flying. Like a Sunday family dinner, we passed around each other's meals and were all in agreement that no dish was better than the other - they were all truly the best in their own way. After ordering another garlic loaf to scoop up the unique savory sauces, we somehow made room for their decadent desserts paired with espresso.

For a group who has frequented restaurants in Little Italys all over, this is hands-down the best Italian food we've ever...

Run, don’t walk, to Radici for an Italian meal you won’t stop talking about. Laura, the wonderful owner, put together the most incredible rehearsal dinner for me and 30 guests. As guests trickled in, everyone enjoyed drinks from the full bar by skilled bartenders. We were sat in a lovely semi-private area where we could really enjoy the company, but still felt the vibrant atmosphere of the restaurant as a whole. Apps were ready on the table when we sat down and they were DELISH! The warm garlic bread is to die for. The involtini and charcuterie board were real crowd pleasers as well. There was plenty to satisfy our initial hunger but it wasn’t so heavy that we couldn’t enjoy our next course. And enjoy it we did. We had chicken parm (eggplant for the vegetarians) and penne all vodka. WOW. The handmade pasta is next level. You can taste the freshness and high-quality of the ingredients. The portions were perfect again, totally satisfied but room for dessert. We had gelato, sorbet, and berries and cream - the perfect end to the meal. The service was impeccable from start to finish. The ambiance is warm and inviting. Laura truly knows how to host a dinner party you’ll remember for a lifetime. Don’t wait for a special occasion to come here.
