I visited Paradise Bowls on Monday 10/14 around 5 pm and ordered one of their pitaya bowls. Unfortunately, I became ill later that night. So much so that I had to miss work on Tuesday 10/15. Every other meal I had that day was prepared at home and shared by family; no one else got sick. The only difference is I went to Paradise Bowls. Ive come here several times before and have never had an issue. In fact, the bowl looked and tasted delicious. My guess is this was caused by dirty tools, hands or fruit. I loveeeee acai bowls. With this horrible heat we've been experiencing, it sounded like the perfect treat at the time. Parking is HORRIBLE here. It's only street meter parking right across from the Hermosa Beach Pier. They take their time making the bowls here. Limited seating so definitely felt like we had to eat and go haha. Everything was fresh! A tad pricey but, well worth it if you can find parking easily.
