Silvio's House — Restaurant in Hermosa Beach

It’s been roughly 14-15 years since being in Hermosa and we had one of the most amazing uber drivers we’ve ever had that had moved from Brazil highly recommend this place.

Glad we did! We ended up eating here twice during our stay! They were able to cover dietary restrictions, our servers were on both occasions highly attentive, and the owner was a delight to speak with.

Fantastic portions for the price and it’s hard to recommend something as everything we had was incredible. Burger, steak, chicken, sausage, multiple sides, amazing!

There’s a one star review from Danielle fairly recently that couldn’t make me laugh more at how out of touch it was. When you click on her reviews you can see that quickly “I don’t leave bad reviews often” is actually all she does even putting formal complaints into fast food establishments. LOL!!

We recently visited this newly opened restaurant and had a mixed experience. The host was very welcoming, which started our afternoon on a positive note. However, the waitress we had simply lacked professionalism. She recorded our order incorrectly, and we received the wrong sides. While mistakes like this can happen and weren't a big deal, her reaction when we pointed out the errors was troubling. She showed her lack of care, which really dampened our dining experience. Additionally, the steak we ordered was served cold, although I have to admit it tasted good. Overall, this restaurant has potential, but it definitely needs to hire better personnel who show ownership and genuinely care about customers. Honestly the food was fresh and amazing. We had the fried Yucca as a starter and the passion fruit Capirihna. The Authentic live Brazilian music was a pleasure and a treat for a Friday night. Place had a relaxing vibe. For dinner my husband had the Picahna burger and fries. I had the piranha plate with a side of melted cheese 🫕 🧀. Our waitress was super nice and attentive, however after 30min + of waiting we did notice that my husbands food had not came out and waitress apologized since she had not taken his order. We weren't mad though, the restaurant was busy and between enjoying the music and the Capirihnas we didn't mind as we shared my entree.
