I eat here often and like the food even though it’s bit pricey for take out. I get the expense part. Current economy etc. No problem with expense and I like to support new places. But for the price u deserve a little customer service-an I wrong in expecting condiments?. I drive all the way from Tyson’s to pick up a lunch order. I’m also spending gas money to come in this economy. After pick up, I wanted to add chili oil (from the table) to the food in the container for my husband who likes really spicy food. The owner did not want me to make my food tastier as she kept tying the bag while I asked her not to as I will be putting chillie oil. She did not say anything about payment at the time. After I put the chill oil, she got into argument with me and came running after me and stopped me. She said it’s ok to add condiments if I eat here, but she will charge me for adding the chilli to my take out food!!!!!! Other people eating there were adding the sauces on the table, so why was she stopping me? I find this absurd!! When I pointed that there were others eating in the restaurant and had ability to add condiments-why would she now want to charge me? and she said it’s ok to add as much chili oil in house but u cannot add it to take out food! Does that make sense? I am super polite in life even when angry. told her I’m sorry that you would be losing four customers. She said “that’s OK, I get others” 🙄🙄.The duo is being arrogant and cocky, and this poor customer service attitude will not take their restaurant far ESPECIALLY in this tight economy where people are careful where they spend. I hate people who are Unkind and rude and they were beyond rude and angry for the wrong reasons! You are serving food-it’s supposed to be tasty and maybe people do not need to add condiments to make it better for them. If they add-that means you were lacking in something and u should support them and their spicy taste buds 🙂Not angrily argue, wrongfully try to charge to make an extra buck or two and then say you don’t care if you lose customers!! If I spend $40 for 2 take out small size lunch dishes, I have no problem paying extra $2 if rightfully charged and fair across the board. But this was so wrong. Taking time to write this so either They improve for others or others are forewarned and don’t pay their money to mean and arrogant owner. Wow! My appetite is lost! My...
Read moreI feel bad for everyone who had a so-called bad experience here, but we've been here multiple times and had nothing but amazing food. We've been to all the big pho places around Loudoun County, dine in, take out, delivery, you name it. They're all good, but we've had consistently great pho at both Teabreak locations. True story, first time we had pho here months ago, we came back the very next day because it was that good.
The pho broth by itself is liquid gold, even without the extra sauces it's very satisfying and just the right temperature. I had all gau (fatty brisket) and it was pho-nomenal (pun intended, shout out to the actual Phonomenal at One Loudoun). They don't skimp out on meat either, I had what seemed like an endless amount of ultra silky brisket. Even the take out version is amazing, the broth is served piping hot and comes with a large enough bowl to hold everything. The rice noodles were perfectly tender, not rubbery or tough at all. Usually, other place's take out pho don't live up to the sit down version, but not Teabreak's. Best deal on the menu are the pho combos, I got the B2 which includes pho, a summer roll or fried roll, and your choice of bubble tea or juice, all under $20. I always get the Honey B with boba, just perfection with the pho. The Kalamansi juice is kinda like a sweeter, more citrusy lemonade and is very refreshing. Come to think of it, the bubble tea and juices use more "gourmet" exotic ingredients, very different from other bubble tea shop chains so that's a huge plus for me.
Also got what is claimed to be one of the most popular items on the menu, the VR1 with grilled pork, along with an extra order of grilled pork. I have to say, it was delicious and perfectly cooked. It kinda reminded me of pork barbecue skewers from the Philippines, savory grilled fatty pork flavor with a slightly charred sweetness. It was fantastic by itself and when dipped in the nuoc cham.
Do yourself a favor and give Teabreak a try. Staff is friendly and prices are comparable to other Vietnamese spots in town. Pho is so perfect for colder days, and the vermicelli and rice dishes are sure to be...

I came here when they first opened (back in 2018). Fast forward a few years and I'm back here to order the same exact drink (coincidentally).
As soon as I walked in I noticed the place was empty, except for one couple. Probably the first sign to walk out of there. There was one person standing behind the counter, he was nice but not the best customer service. I had to ask him for a menu (instead of him offering). They don't have the full menu displayed on the wall, as most of the tea places do. The prices did go up (which was expected), so the milk teas were starting at $5.00.
I ordered a Thai milk tea with boba, "very" less ice and 25% sweet. The tea tasted as if it was sitting around for a long time, more than half the cup was ice and it was painfully sweet. I couldn't even finish the drink and it made me not want to ever drink Thai milk tea again!! The only good thing about the drink was the boba was perfect, although there was just too much (in addition to the amount of ice.
Would I come here again? No, probably not. Would I recommend it? No, probably not. There are just so many of these shops in the surrounding area/cities that are newer and seem to have fresher ingredients. It is located next to a nightclub(??), so I would imagine that maybe a boba tea would be refreshing after a night of dancing.
Original Review from 2/2018:
What a wonderful addition to the Herndon area!!!
I know there are restaurants in the area that make Pho, make boba tea, but BÁHN MÌ!!?
I actually didn't get to try the sandwiches, but my coworker did. She has been to the Sterling location, and knew of the Herndon soft opening.
I ordered the large thai tea, which was only $3.50. I would say the only thing I didn't like about it was the crushed ice otherwise it was delicious! My friend loved her bánh mì...I can't...
