BEWARE: Expect to wait an hour and a half waiting for your pizza
Came here to leave a review with a negative exp at this Papa John's and I'm not surprised to see so many people having the same issue. Ordered an extra large pizza through the app and was informed the order would be delivered within 30-45 min. I'm watching the tracker here and there as as I wait 50 min later the app reloads and tells me the pizza has been delivered. Baffled I think to wait a few more minutes to see if the delivery driver is on his way up and after 10 minutes I decide to call the store and I get stuck listening to a recording for nearly 15 minutes in which time I drive out to the local store to request a refund. Unfortunately I ended up driving to the wrong one, but the staff at Fox Mill was kind and understanding and got me in contact with the store that wouldn't pick up my call. Told the staff on the phone what happened and that I just wanted a refund when they got their manager Reeno(?) on the phone who was extremely rude and denied to refund my order claiming he can't and that my pizza was on the way. I told him I'd rather have the order voided and have a refund, but he wouldn't budge. At this point I had ordered 1 hour and 28 minutes ago and my order was "on the way" even though the delivery was marked delivered on the app half an hour ago. The manager refused to understand just how terrible the service was that I had been waiting that long, had managed to drive out to papa johns, and the delivery driver was still on his way. When I asked for his name he gave it and added that he has nothing to worry about because "...everyone at the company knows me. Don't worry about a thing. Don't worry." Read moreWe had visitors with two small kids at home. We ordered Pizza (4 items: One Large Pepperoni, one medium veggie, one small cheese and bread sticks) for delivery on Jun5 at around 5pm. It turned out to be a Nightmare experience. More than two hours and Pizza were no where to be seen. We kept calling the Pizza shop and every time we’re told it was on its way. Both small kids were too much hungry and it was their time to go to bed. Their parents couldn’t wait any more and left with their kids for their home. We finally called up the Pizza shop and told them it was shame that our guests had to go hungry with no Pizza in sight. The manager expressed their sorry and said he was going to credit back our payment in full. The Pizza finally came but all cold and after our guests had already left. The real story starts after this..so, we found out in couple of weeks that they had not credited even a penny back to our account. We called them and the same manager said he cannot credit back the money but can give us equivalent items next time when we place order. Even though we told them that that was not what they had promised to do earlier but we agreed to accept their offer anyways. Guess what, when we called up to order the items in couple of weeks, they only gave one medium veggie pizza and one small cheese pizza! However, they rely on Doordarsh largely for deliveries. I've had ~5 deliveries and 3 of which are doordash drivers.
Of the doordash drivers, I've had one driver claim not to find me and sail into the sunset.
One driver claim not to find me and leave pizza somewhere in one of the 12 distinctly numbered buildings and take a Pic.
And most recently one who dropped my kid's chicken dinner and offer us cash in exchange.
All of these I've left 20-30% tips on $60+ meals. We are 7 minutes away.
Each time the store sends out a real driver with our food promptly. But there is no way to transfer the tip, leave feedback on drivers, or opt out of the worst imaginable drivers.
I just want the driver who fixes the problem to get the tip.
Even better, be able to choose an actual papa...
