This Place is Legit! Alright, so if you're on Hilton Head Island and lookin' for some grub that hits different, you gotta check out Fat Baby Pizza and Subs. This spot ain't playin' around when it comes to food that satisfies. Their pizzas? Straight fire. They load 'em up with toppings, and the cheese is always on point. That crust ain't flimsy either – it's got that perfect crisp, no flop. And the sauce? Bangin'. It just ties everything together for a perfect slice every time. But trust, it ain't just about the pizza. Their subs are no joke either. We're talking fresh ingredients, good meat, and bread that holds up. That Italian cold cut sub? Pure 🔥. They've got the whole menu on lock, from wings to calzones, so there's always something to get into. The vibe in there is chill, super laid-back, perfect for rolling through with the fam or just kickin' it with your crew. The staff? Cool, friendly, they got you. Seriously, if you're tryna get down on some solid pizza and subs on Hilton Head, Fat Baby is where it's at. No cap, this place is a must-hit. You won't be disappointed.

We struggled with finding a place for dinner as we have had lackluster meals on vacation. We finally settled here because pizza sounded good and the reviews showed higher than another place we considered. WOW. We are so happy we went here, we are planning a lunch and one more dinner before we drive back to Hellinois Saturday. We had the chicken Alfredo (freaking absolutely the best and my favorite, the chicken is done right), lasagna (husband and daughter’s fav) and ordered a PMS Pizza. If you’ve ever been to Via Napoli in Epcot - where they fly the water, flour and ovens in from Italy- this pizza is similar but superior. Thanks for the delicious meal and thanks for sharing those color pages on the screen so my husband and I could finally have conversations without our 6 year old interrupting us as as she was so intrigued watching them and coloring her own.

I thought one slice of pizza each ($6ish, so I couldn't justify more) might not be large enough to satisfy, so my wife and I ordered an appetizer (fried mozzarella). My concern was unmerited, as the slice was AMPLY large. Still, the fried mozzarella was delish, and the pizza was excellent too. Neither she nor I were big fans of the meatballs on our slices (the "Fat Baby" and "Pete's Meat", respectively), but that's probably just us. Everything else was top notch, and lived up to the hype from friends back home. Excellent (e.g., friendly and fast) service and reasonable prices rounded out the justification for the 5 stars. I'd definitely return, but this time might give one of their sandwiches a try, as they looked really good too! (And my wife loved the sign to the restrooms! lol)

Since there's no way to reply I'll edit the review and keep original responses below. Considering that I'm a "working" American I am very aware of the situation with the labor force. However, its amazing that your restaurant was not very busy in comparison to others so I just brought my family and then we took a to go order for my mother who stayed behind to stay with my disabled brother. If you had the ability to service my family at the restaurant, you had the ability to put the food in to go boxes. Sounds like your just making excuses to not be able to provide a proper service. Your labor force is to provide a service that people like me PAY for. That's basic economics.

btw I did leave a 50 dollar tip because our server was great and non of this is her fault. The management needs adjusting. And if the place is managed by the owners the I suggest bringing in someone with experience to operate more efficiently. Maybe some six sigma yellow belt. Just a thought

Worst experience ever, Literally spent two hours trying to call and place an order, your voice recording says call back in an hour every time. (mind you I started calling at 4pm), online orders wasnt working either, 6pm hit so I decided to go to the actual restaurant, my brother has had a disability since birth and due to this we get take out. Get to the restaurant and the host ask how can I help you, I said I'd like to place a to go order, she says were no longer taking to go orders, I said well ive been trying to order online, she says we stop taking online orders at 6....I arrived at 6:05....I then say I also tried to call....she says we turn off our phones at 5.....help me understand this!!!!!!!!!!!!! worst service ever. I recommend that if anyone has a specific reason you need to do a to go order look elsewhere because this place will tell you its dine in only. I will NEVER return

Response from the owner a day ago Scott, You ask for help understanding why we can't take anymore togo orders after 5pm. It's very simple, if you're aware of the current labor environment in this country. Combine that with a population that is finally allowed to travel and mix in a resort island that is bursting with tourists. We only have so many people on staff. Those people can only put out so much food. At some point we have to limit the orders so that we may serve the customers we already have. We understand you're upset, Scott. We're not psyched about the situation either. Hopefully, you can put the "worst service ever" behind you and enjoy the rest of...

I was so ready to change my opinion of Pizza here in the Hilton Head area. Last week I went to fat babies and I ordered their PMS Pizza and I was very surprised. I was ready to list it in my top three pizzas in the area that’s a big jump from where I had them. It was hot. The sauce was good. It wasn’t as floppy as they normally make. It wasn’t as greasy it was absolutely delicious. But today I decided to give it one more chance just to make sure I was right Lo and behold the consistency was as vast as the Pacific and the Atlantic Ocean. I ordered two slices of the PMS pizza. The girl told me 1520 minutes. It would be ready. I got there in 20 one slice was ready. They charged me for two but they only gave me one. They grow up the counter rectified that really easily she just went and told the guy in the kitchen that it was supposed to be two slices, not one. three minutes later I get a slice of pizza that is sloppy mess literally flopping in half no structure whatsoever cold to the point where the cheese wasn’t even melted that he had put on and mushrooms and pepperoni only none of the aforementioned sausage that should be on this $17.96 for two slices of pizza and a Coke. I think it’s a little extreme especially when the pizza is not that good. I’m eating the piece that they made right now and it’s disgusting. I mean, I don’t understand this place. The first slice is a decent looking slice. Crispy, cheesy and was good. I never said I was in a hurry when they made the mistake for the second slice. I would not have minded waiting if they asked me I would’ve said that’s fine but to send something out knowing that it’s nothing or nowhere near what should be expected by the customer is wrong. The guy in the kitchen should never have sent this piece out. I’m literally tossing it in the trash. That’s how bad it was. I guess I’ll just keep them down in the place they were which is around. I think it was seventh or eighth out of 10 which I think is a fair thing when you consider that the cooks pizza guy whatever you wanna call him doesn’t really care. Never send something out that is subpar. Tell the customer I’m sorry we made a mistake and you’re gonna have to wait an extra five minutes no big deal and then the charge almost 20 bucks for two slices in a...

I wish I could give it less then 1 star. We called in an order for pick up.. 1030pm on a Friday night.. was told 25 minutes.. 50 minutes later food still wasnt ready.. I waited in the restaurant with the whopping 4 other people in there and watched some man get up and leave waiting on his chicken parmesan. The girl at the hostess stand kept saying a few more minutes a few more minutes.. when we finally received our food, it was horrible. I expected it to be hot and fresh being I waited in there so long for it to be done. It was cold. I had the Italian hoagie and asked for no tomato or onion.. got both tomato and onion.. the sandwich had so much mayo that the bread fell apart when I went to lift it. My son had the meatball hoagie which wasnt bad, however the French fries we received were hard as rocks. Inedible. 40 dollars I would have been more satisfied with ripping up and throwing in the wind. Very disappointed. I believe there was a miscommunication and our food was just sitting back there. There is no other explanation why it was so cold and old by the time we received it. Was hoping to call the restaurant directly but they were closed. Will try tomorrow because I am extremely...
