Our family of six went for dinner on Memorial Day and I was not overly impressed. We went to this restaurant because the location was nice and there was live music. There were system issues happening (credit card machine down) that contributed to a unpleasant experience. We knew going in it was cash only which was not a huge issue but the servers (or our server inparticular) was having a hard time manually adding up charges and including tax. Our server was friendly enough but was delayed with drink orders so someone else took them, but he took our food orders and after that we did not see him except for standing at the bar sorting out checks and talking. Food runners brought out my husband and kids order but never brought my food. As I sat watching out sever chatting across the restaurant no one stopped by to confirm everything was good or bring out my food. By the time the server finally came over I let him know my food never came out and at this point everyone was done eating so he might as well remove mine from the bill. The server said. "it's probably hanging out somewhere in the back but your stating you want it removed?" I of course said yes. There was no real apology and food hanging somewhere in the back for 30 minutes did not sound overly appealing and worth the money. Server came bsck with Bill and confirmed it was hanging in the back like the should make me feel better. Gain. no apology, no offer to box it up for me to take on the house..just a statement like no biggie it was hanging in the back. Needless to say this put a sour taste in my mouth so I would not recommend or go again The positives was food portions were large and kids macaroni and cheese that I took bites of were good. The rest of the meals were okay but not overly impressive and...
Read moreToday I went here for the all you can eat crab legs. When we got to the host stand, they said it would be about 20-30 minutes for my boyfriend and myself, and we didnt mind at all! As we were about to put our name down, some old woman who wasnt in any uniform (but seemed to be the owner or manager) interrupted the host, trying to get us to sit at the bar. She said it was full service with food and everything and that it was open right now, which was nice advice, but she was saying it and everything else in an odd condescending tone. Once we sat at the bar, we sat for about 15-20 minutes watching the bartender wipe around us and kinda ignore us. When we finally ordered, he said we couldnt get the crab legs at the bar and we would have to go wait at the host stand for a table. We questioned that, since the lady in charge had told us to go here as it was full service, so they moved us to a random table. I dont know if theyre short staffed or if there just wasnt a waiter in this section, but it really didnt feel like we even had someone to order from. My first set of crab legs was cold, but the rest were amazing and boiling hot. It took about 20-30 minutes between servings, so i spent most of my time just sitting there waiting on any of the waiters to ask if i needed more while the people beside me had the most amazing waiter and were completely attended to. I definitely recommend the food, but this place needs new management!! The hosts had it down until she came and kinda messed with everything they had going on. Chicken with their heads cut off type of system. Just...
Read moreMy husband and I stopped in at Fish for dinner, considering the crowd that was there and the location was beautiful. Once we were seated our waiter didn’t even ask for a drink order he immediately asked, “do you know what you want”. We ordered oysters, peel and eat shrimp, and shared an entree which was grouper with a side Caesar salad. The oysters weren’t the best, but hey that’s a hit or miss sometimes. The peel and eat shrimp were obviously microwaved or over-boiled due to their rubber consistency. They were so tough that we couldn’t even eat half of the half dozen order we placed. They were also not deveined. The grouper would have been great had it not been completely burnt and over seasoned. The Caesar salad was dressed with straight mayonnaise. It was so thick and the croutons were so hard that it was completely inedible. The best part about our meal was the cheese grits that were served as part of the grouper dish, and the banana punch that I had ordered (which I didn’t get another due to feeling so rushed out the door). My husband informed our waiter of the complaints and all he said was, “I’m sorry”. We honestly do not complain about food ever, because eating at a restaurant that you’ve never been to is always a gamble. This was the worst experience with food that we both can remember. Save your money and your time and hit the hotdog stand next time. It’s much better than what you will get here, then stop next door at the distillery and get a frozen pina colada. You’ll have a better meal and a fresh drink without a rush and your pocket will thank you in...
