Earle of Sandwich Pub — Restaurant in Hilton Head Island

Small & cozy sandwich pub. We came around 1:45pm on New year's Eve. A table was open so no wait. Very enjoyable atmosphere with the 70's soundtrack, Santa on a Harley, biker decorations and the whole pub feel. Has the feel as if it's been established for years. Had a local brewed Hellis Beer, which was spot on. Nice, crunchy, large sized onion rings for an appetizer served in a diner style basket. For our meal, I had the Earl Sandwich, Toast beef, grilled onions and peppers with provalone cheese and fries. Delicious! More food than I could eat with the appetizer. My wife had the crab cake sandwich with pasta salad. Yummy! Stopped in after our stroll on the beach. Just across from Coligny Beach. Very pleased with our service as well. So glad we decided to stop in while on vacation. Highly recommend for a party...

Fantastic pub style place, located right in the middle of tons of specialty shopping. I ordered crab cake sandwich and then went back to try the turkey pilgrim (ie Monte Cristo style sandwich). Both were delicious and I would absolutely order again. The crab cakes were very meaty and the hoagie style bun was delicious. Being from Maryland I would appreciate more Old Bay, but even so the crab cakes were very good. Turkey was fresh and very meaty sub as well. My family also had a cod sandwich and a chicken strip sandwich. Everyone cleaned their plates and were willing to come back another day to try something else. Decor was very bar-esque with Harley motorcycle parts hanging on the walls. Small place so be careful taking a large group. Shoestring style fries and fresh coleslaw were the main sides and again they did...

My family and I stopped here for a drink and sat outside. It is seat yourself outside and my husband pushed two tables together to accommodate our group of 7. A worker came by and scolded my husband for pushing the tables together and said “No offense, but what were you thinking,” while shaking his head and pulling the tables apart. He was not wearing a name tag but was a shorter man who wore a bald style haircut. He continued to speak to us like we were children goofing off. We left, and as we were leaving, we saw a sign that stated “See why we have been around for 48 years!” Well I can assure you it is not from this man’s customer service. While we finished our drinks no other server stopped by our table. They seem to be unwilling or unable to handle their rush...
