Last Saturday around 3:00 I walk in and order the Milanese sandwich and sit down. 5 minutes later 4 people come in and each order a sandwich. They get there food before I do. I have to wait 35 minutes for my order and pay $15 for the smallest sandwich in Hoboken. The menu said comes w/ prosciutto and cheese. I had to open the sandwich and look to see if it had any cheese and prosciutto b/c because the sandwich was SO BLAND. Charging $15 ciabatta roll should be considered armed robbery. I could have walked to Vitos and ordered a chicken parm that would be twice the size and $5 cheaper. Or maybe walked to MP's and ordered a sandwich that could feed 3 people that also would have been cheaper.
It doesnt matter what time I order a sandwich its always at least a half hour wait.
I would like to say this is an isolated incident but EVERY TIME I order a sandwich from this place is always a half hour wait. God forbid and order breakfast on the weekends after 8:00 and you not get your food until lunch time.
This is what I get for going back to this place. Thought I would never go back b/c I have seen too many times people bringing their dogs inside. Also if you ask they will give your dog a small cup filled with whipped cream. They let the dog eat inside off the floor. I think that is beyond disgusting. I believe this is a Health Code violation but Management thinks its Cute. Next step is to notify the Health Dept.
There are SO many great delis in Hoboken nobody should ever go to this place and order a sandwich.
I will never waste my time or money at this place again. I will go to Jersey Mikes for a sandwich before I ever go back...
Read moreI really had high hopes after other people raving about their pizza and from seeing their menu.
Grandma pizza - 2 out of 5… I couldn’t even taste the garlic and basil wasn’t really on every slice. But biggest disappointment came from its chewiness dough. Half way through a slice, my wife and I had to check and make sure if we had all the ingredients from its menu and takes big sip of our drinks. It was so chewy and dry…
Pepperoni pizza - 3 out of 5. Not as dry and chewy as grandma pizza, but nothing to rave about. The crust was pretty dry and I caught my daughter dipping her crust in her cup of water at the end 😂
Fries - 4.5 out of 5. It was crispy and hot, menu’s description was close to it.
Delivery - ordered through slice and it was right in time. $4 delivery fee was actually higher than ubereats and I believe a pie is slightly cheaper on ubereats (too bad I only found out after).
Both pies were huge and serving size is great!
Overall, they may be better for other things including gelato, coffee, and others. But I do think there are better options in Hoboken. Hoping they had a bad day. I wanted to like it...
Read moreSomething terrible has happened with their pizza. I really like this place -- good homestyle Italian menu, fair prices, good atmosphere -- but their pizza has become borderline inedible, at least the plain.
It used to be one of the most underrated pies in town. Now it's like late night halal slop. It's overly cheesy and undercooked. It's happened enough times now that this is just how their pizza is. I even asked for it well done, thinking maybe it's been one off errors -- nope. Still just a really, no offense, gross pie. If I picked this up on my way home from a Rutgers bar when i was 21 years old I'd be bummed, let alone at this age in this town.
otherwise a truly great neighborhood place, but I won't be getting their...
