Ayame Hibachi & Sushi — Restaurant in Hoboken

this is one of the worst restaurants in all of Hoboken. Terrible impression. Celebrating a girl's birthday. occupied a table. the cafe is quite noisy, so the waitress decided that standing at the distance of the table and taking the order was the best solution. I asked her to come closer because I didn’t even hear her, just like she me. after that we were made to feel uncomfortable in this establishment. All further communication was as rude as possible on her part. she simply threw the plates and cutlery on the table. we didn’t want to spoil the birthday, so we distracted the birthday girl in every possible way and didn’t start arguing. at the end we were told that the restaurant was closing and simply asked everyone to leave. we took the bill, I consulted with a friend and decided to leave a tip, because I was sure that there would be a scandal. I tried to be polite to the end for the sake of not spoiling the holiday. I deliberately put an even amount and a little more on top. so that she would understand that it is not necessary to carry the change and just once again did not communicate with us. so they were able to accommodate a large group of us same day (i called at 3pm to make a reservation for 7:30pm for 6 people) and then were able to push our reservation back to 8pm when people were arriving late, but we had to wait by the sushi bar until about 8:30 without water or menus and then when we got to the table, we also had no water or menus (later saw that the menus were QR codes, but this was not told to us). then they moved us to a new table 45 minutes in (now 8:45). by the time our order was taken it was 9/9:15. appetizers came out within 10ish minutes but hibachi didn’t start until 9:45. by the time we actually ate, it was 10pm (2 hours after reservation). additionally, the whole party had stomach problems throughout the night and the next morning. now, this could be due to a variety of reasons (like eating a huge hibachi meal at 10/10:30 at night), but regardless, isn’t the greatest feeling :( everyone was very...

I went for hibachi dinner with my kids for my birthday. My kids were excited to see the chef cook the food in front of us. We sat on one side of the table away from another family as i had a 1 year old the chef came and cooked for the other family and mine but only cooked on the other side of the table and we had his back the whole time. The chef gave us much less food . I told the waiter that we are not seeing the chef cook and asked to speak to the manager . Once our food was served i spoke to the manager and told him that we did not see the show and it was my birthday. My kids were watching from a different table the flames going up and were interested. He said they were short of chef and did not offer any type of discount . He did not show any interest in my concern . As we left the manager was so interested in his phone than responding...
