Unfortunately, My party a and I never made it past the seating area! It was my Birthday Sunday March 2nd and my daughters had a 2:30 reservation, once we arrived, we entered to find large parties waited to be seated, a hostess continues to walk pass several times until one of my daughters decided to stop her and ask how long was our wait since we had 2:30 reservation, not sure what her response was, when we initially came in, there was a table to the left of us, near the door which the hostess seated a party of four as soon as they walked through the door, this upset my daughter, and she stop the hostess again and ask her to get the manager, so after a few more minutes pass, we are still waiting along with other parties, waiting to be seated, finally another young lady came out to speak to my daughter but she was not the manager, and she did not bring any resolution to our situation, so again my daughter stated that she needed to speak to the MANAGER, because at this point it was already passed out reservation time, other parties was being seated and we were still standing, once he came, he asked what was the problem and my daughter stated that she felt we were being treated unfairly especially since you have to leave a credit card on file to even make a reservation, also if you're not there on time you're credit card is charged for your party, upon her observation, she realized that only black people was the only party that was still standing and everyone else was being seated, and when she said this to the MANAGER his response was "oh you're playing the race card, my father is black and he owns this place, you don't have to be here you can just leave!! At this point with them exchanging words, my 58th birthday was ruined, because the actual vibe seemed cute, music was nice but being in Customer Service for more than 25 years, he displayed very poor customer service from the very moment he presented himself as the MANAGER until the last comment he made regarding to his status. So now we're standing in the middle of the floor, with everyone looking at us getting mistreated by someone whom I'm sure was young enough to be my son! I was very disappointed in his behavior, I was disappointed that he and his staff offered little resolution, I was also disappointed at several statements that were made! Words of advice to the gentleman that said he was the manager, YOU NEED MANAGEMENT TRAINING on how to treat customers, how to handle situations such as ours, LEADERSHIP, and so much more, but I'm guessing as long as you're spending money, if you can get in to get seated you will get the best service! Thanks for ALMOST ruining my 58th birthday dinner! Check the cameras, I had on Blue. But I must say to the ACTUAL OWNER your son needs to know manners, accountability and common courtesy!! And thank you to Del Frisco for being just down the street, because that's where we spent my 58th birthday, from the time we entered, the host, to bringing our dinner, the service, atmosphere, the whole...
Read moreThe service and coordination fell well below expectations.
I had updated our reservation by phone from 9 to 13 guests. A friend of mine had previously shared that changes made by phone at The Lola weren’t always reflected in person, so I took the extra step of reserving a second table just in case. It’s a good thing I did—because when we arrived, the table was only set for 9, and we did in fact need the second table to accommodate our group.
Once seated, we were told our 90-minute timer began immediately—yet no server came to our table for the first 20 minutes. I eventually had to get up and ask, “Is a server going to take our order? I know our time started, but no one has come to introduce themselves or take orders.” It was frustrating to be told our time was running while receiving no service at all.
I confirmed by phone that a minor could be included in our bottomless drinks for the full price and be served juice. We agreed to this, but when we ordered, the waitress said it wasn’t possible. Only after speaking with other staff was it honored.
A server attempted to deliver plates by reaching across our long table—spilling a drink onto my clothes and into my French toast. We were told there were no more French toast sticks available, so I lost that part of my meal entirely. (It was taken off the bill and we got a new server, thank you)
The bathroom had no stocked toilet paper in dispensers. Instead, rolls were on the toilet seats and floor, which was unsanitary and unpleasant.
We had pre-ordered the $50 birthday celebration (cake, sparklers, and shots). When it didn’t arrive, we asked and were told it wasn’t ordered. Once reordered, only the cake came out, no sparklers or shots, and again I had to inquire about the missing items. We never received the sparklers at all.
I constantly found myself having to remind the staff about commitments they had already agreed to. I felt like I was micromanaging service that should have been proactively delivered.
Despite our group spending over $1,100 across two tables, we were told we were “over time” just as we were ordering another $120 round of shots. I privately asked a hostess if we could stay a bit longer since there were many visibly empty tables and we were still spending. She said she’d speak to the manager, but she never returned.
I was shocked and embarrassed to walk out of the restroom to find my family being escorted out by security. We are respectful, working professionals and had never experienced anything like that before.
When we asked to speak to the manager, we were told she was in a meeting. Eventually, Jas arrived, and after hearing a portion of our concerns, Jas said she would comp the bill. I appreciated her acknowledging our experience.
This experience made us feel like we were being mistreated, actively dismissed and pushed out. I wanted The Lola to be part of a joyful memory with my friends and family, but it became a source of stress and...
Read moreI went in with a friend @4:10 we did the bottomless margaritas then tried to order food from the entrees section - which all the good options were all sold out . No ribeye , no salmon , no veggie options and out of a strawberry salad too ! We told our waitress can we order pasta and add chicken she stated yes for an extra charge mind you they didn’t even try to accommodate us at all even though they were serving a dinner menu they no longer had ( false advertisement ) the waitress stated they had a busy morning with brunch so they are all sold out . We just wish she the waitress would have mentioned that to us before seating us and before bringing out the drinks because we no longer had any interest in a menu that had barely any items . Waitress was rude to us telling us to pick options from pasta with no protein or chose from chorizo pasta mind you I don’t eat pork products for my workout regimen. We than asked to take out bottomless mimosa and we ordered a regular drink which was way stronger than the pre mixed with tons of ice making it watery. Then we ordered off the appetizer menu . After I spoke with the manger since the waitress rolled her eyes and complained to her manager about us . I spoke with the young man and he stated he would remove the bottomless margaritas $55 but instead charged us for one margarita each which came out to $34 . When the waitress brought the bill out to us , I told her the bill still had the margaritas applied . She said because her manger said we drank the first cup so he charged us . Once again we only chose the dinner menu for $55 because we thought we had more dinner options to chose from instead we got ourselves into a pickle . When I asked her to speak with a manger she said he left and if I wanted she would call him for me.so I guess this place is left unattended/ unmanaged / unsupervised and that’s why they done have the supplies and food they need in this place to keep it running smooth . I speak with the owner over the phone , since he left , and he rudely tells me - did you think I was giving you drinks for free . I was baffled because did he think we came to just drink ? Long story short I wouldn’t recommend this place unless u go for brunch because that’s the only time they have food . I hope this incident helps the manger be more attentive to his menu if he’s going to keep the dinner menu up as if he has the food to run this sale , just take it off the board / menu or...
